+Doberfitz that's really nice! I love hearing that people are enjoying the videos. That also keeps me making the videos.

Help! Is there any way to speed up the drying process?
@Rawfires4 жыл бұрын
The best way I have found is to take it off the armature. hang it upsidedown so it holds its form and have a fan blow into it. Silicone should cure faster the more air can reach it.

@@Rawfires its been rainy so i'm giving it an extra few days, plus work kinda gets in the way, so weekends are perfect..Thanks again for that awesome vid series..

you could always put a few stitches in the top of the seam where you cut it...catching both sides, it would protect it from cracking from putting it on and off.
@Rawfires9 жыл бұрын
+Wendy Hutchison is correct. I have done this on a few of my masks and it works well. Sometimes if you take a whole punch at the top of the cut this will round out the end of the cut and make it more difficult to split. Thanks for the tip Wendy!

Alright so I started Sunday night, finished painting yesterday, the paint is all dry, but the nose is still kind of malleable, is it safe to cut it off? I need it finished by friday.
@Rawfires9 жыл бұрын
+ScreamingSkullz99 I would. Cut it off and hang it with a pants hanger by the neck upside down. So air can get to inside of mask to dry. Shape your mask and make sure you don't just let it dry collapsed(lying flat)or it will want to stay that way. Its like those stupid don't put in dryer, shape and dry flat clothes. except don't dry flat hang by neck upside down so it let the inside of mask to breath and the head does not collapse. Hope this helps

+Rawfires Alright, I cut it off and propped it open in front of a fan, gonna check on it in about 6 hours or so. Thank you so much for all of the help, and for making this series. You're awesome.

I wonder how hard it would be to pre-cut the burlap and sew in some Velcro strips before molding the mask.
@Rawfires6 жыл бұрын
Jason Ross that might work, you would need to be really sure of how burlap will lay so the Velcro lines up when finished and make sure you don’t get caulking on the hook and loop part of Velcro
