I hunt Sambar deer.If I’m remote I cut the back legs off the skin up the spine and cut the back straps out. I haven’t gutted it,gut is still intact. Just in front of the hip bone on the spine slide your hands over the top of the gut bag and feel for the eye fillet just under the spine. They are tender enough to dig your fingers around it and peel it out. Roll the carcass over and get the other one. If JE can do a live demo that would be better of coarse.

@Hal-ef1je
@Hal-ef1je 3 жыл бұрын
@@hgards11gards96 I understand that, but it is unnecessary for humans to intervene to feed scavengers. No doubt in my mind that the meat was consumed but those animals would get by without this guy needing to kill that animal and taking a few steaks worth of meat. It might just be how I was taught but I’d never kill an animal that big without being able to haul it out and harvest it.

First time watching your videos, Bud. I hunt whitetails and black bear in PA here in America. And let me tell you, the "wilderness" we have here, in no way does it compare to what you have out there in New Zealand. Can't tell you how much I wish I could hunt something that wide open. If you're hunting public land here, seems you can't spit without hitting another hunter, and no matter how much walking you do, you'll always be within earshot of a roadway. Convenience is nice if you're just hunting an afternoon. But there is something magical about being so far out from civilization like that. Kudos, man! I'm definitely intrigued. And you've certainly gotten yourself another subscriber!

Bit disappointed you didn't take the whole animal back with you (especially the head and horns as a trophy).I know it's a big weight to carry so understand. Also,did you shoot it through the shoulder as you didn't take any fore quarter meat? Just askin'' no offence intended.Matt.

I think, in my honest opinion foreigners guiding foreigners to hunt in my country is rather shitty! We shouldn't employ foreigners when Canadians can do the job as well or better! I live in Canada and think we're exploited for our natural resources far too much. Especially due to the fact our government no matter the party in power lets it happen even though some are worse than others! I know hunters enjoy the hunt as I do, but I've never been a trophy hunter and doubt I ever will be!
