Elves live much longer, so they lost much more overall lifetime, plus they won't have another army like that ready in a few years. Seems they need a better strategy or the war is lost :P

There's both....elves and elfs. Different creatures all together. But in this case it is elves! 😁

The elves being battle hardened warrior elite with centuries of experience would never take on a million + orcs in an open field. They would have used their vast experience and forced them to fight in a valley or gorge (I.e like Thermopylae). Correct this and factor this in.
