9 finished objects from my thrifted yarn!

I've got 9 finished objects I would love to share with you all made from thrifted yarn! All the yarn was from my recent yarn thrift haul. I got to work right away on these finished objects and love how they all turned out. A lot of them will be gifts and donated. But it was fun for me to try out some new yarns I'd never used and I'm thankful I was able to save so much money buy thrifting the yarn!

Hey Shannon! Love the Beret & the blue Stained Glass hat. I just finished a matching scarf & beanie for my brother-in-law’s Birthday on Sunday & now working on a fold up beanie for one grandson & my first Rastafarian beanie for the other grandson. I have ordered from Little Knits before. Always happy with my purchases. I've never met a Malabrigo that is anything except wonderful! I have made that exact Yarnspirations beret, and yes, you have to fudge a bit when you get to making it fit yourself. Some berets end up huge, others are slimmer and are basically slightly round beanies. I think you wear your raspberry beret very well! Have you tried the burn test on those orange mystery cakes? If it is indeed 100% wool, you could make some felted coasters or hot pads or potholders. Pumpkin-shaped, maybe?

Thanks, I appreciate the review of the store! And I was really impressed with this one so I’ll definitely be inclined to purchase some more! Im glad to hear it wasn’t just me, because I was really stumped on what I did wrong lol. I think I’m going to try your Subtle Pumpkin Beret a try now that I’ve gotten one beret under my belt. It’s so cute! I watched the video but wasn’t ready to try yet. I hadn’t thought of the burn test! It’s currently at the bottom of my wip bag lol 😂

Hi shannon i love your Beret. And on the scratchy yarn at the end .. you could make some simple house slippers and wear them with socks .i know that because i live in the mountains of Colorado lol we heat with wood so yep my tootsies are always cold .anyway.. i got my Herrschners afagan yarn and i ended up ordering the same colors as you .but 2 more in peanut and dark teal. Plans for a slouchy or beret hat lol. Thanks, kid.feel better soon!!

I have the peanut and deep teal too! They are beautiful yarns. Slippers would be a great idea, it’s definitely durable yarn lol. I’m on the mend, it just doesn’t seem to be as fast as I want! I hope you have a nice weekend and stay warm, we might get our first snow of the season tomorrow !
