@@nickysimi9866 a budget pc is the same price as a ps5 pro (you dont need a 3k custom loop rgb build) and you can slowly upgrade components as time progresses, consoles are way overpriced. Every friend i switched to pc absolutely loves it and are not going back. Consoles are for little kids. Keep in mind that kbm muscle memory is not overnight and you wont get any aim assist training wheels. 15 min daily aim trainer is a must and you will get better and better.

I deleted BO6 with pleasure however what I did like about it, was if i had a spare 30 -40 mins spare, I know I could jump on and get straight into a game and play. If I die i respawn straight away and play again. It was good for getting a quick fix of gaming when life is busy - other than that i was glad to see it go

You should try out The Finals. It's made by a bunch of ex-Battlefield devs. It's got some CoD-ish gunplay, Battlefield destruction, and fun abilities that don't make it feel like a hero shooter. I've mostly stopped playing pvp but still pick this one back up sometimes

I don't really think a lot of these do a great job of replacing CoD. CoD players enjoy CoD because it's a "shoot, die, respawn" fast paced, instant gratification, etc. A lot of these games you mentioned are much slower paced, more punishing, etc. I could see a CoD player getting EXTREMELY frustrated playing something like Insurgency or Reforger if they go into it expecting anything similar to CoD style game-play.

While Arma 3 has a lot of mods that customize the game play mechanics (although I have little experience with them), Reforger hasn't come that far to my knowledge. Most of the mods still have you controlling the same character, with the same movement mechanics, same physics, etc. They are targeted towards large scale maps, slow movement, tactical decisions, etc. Cod is" zoomy zoomy, point, click, gratification, repeat". Games like Reforger are "spawn, drive for 2 minutes, maybe spot an enemy, stop to check your map, tediously get out of the car, find some cover, peek to locate the enemy, etc, etc, etc. Not that I'm not saying i don't love this loop, but i couldn't see a world in which it appealed to someone looking for a game to replace CoD. These games aren't made to appeal to someone who plays CoD.

I think the real way to move away from CoD, is not to look for a replacement for CoD but to recognize that the gameplay loop in it isn't as fun as it seems. Instant gratification actually isn't as cracked up as people might think. When you play games like Insurgency or Squad, doing well in them feels so much more rewarding than the fast paced instant gratification of CoD and similar games.

Quited CoD 3 months ago, after the release of BO6 (been playing since the reboot). Don't regret it. It isn't what it used to be back in 2019. My advice: *_just let go._* Play other titles, even older ones. There is so much to play and experience than just Call of Duty, which now is just a memory of it's former, glorious self.

If you're looking for a game similar to Hell Let Loose or Enlisted but get fatigued from constant PvP nor not having access to some of your favorite weapons right from the start, Easy Red 2 is a nice budget option for a whopping 10 dollars on the Xbox store. It is made by an Italian indie developer which honestly is the only downside. The game covers whole campaigns vs. individual battles. Not to mention expansions are 6 dollars and are well worth the price. Insurgency Sandstorm is also a good option if you're looking for a more modern setting in the form of a milsim.

If someone is looking for a good faster-paced game, Day of Defeat: Source is still a great game to play despite how old it is. Valve games are timeless. Deep Rock Galactic is also an AMAZING game for anyone to play. It's PvE but still amazingly fun, especially with friends. 10/10 would recommend.

I never was a Pc gamer but over the years saw Escape from Tarkov on KZbin and fell in love it. Nowadays with 4k hours in Tarkov and a couple of years later I still love Tarkov and hardly play any other PvP shooters. Most of them feel boring and useless. Some RoN or maybe some Hunt Showdown now and than but always back to EFT. And If a want more russian gritty than there is excellent modded S.T.A.L.K.E.R for leisure.

(copypasted comment that I posted) to get PVE mode without paying enormous amount of money google "SPT" (Singleplayer Tarkov) or JustEmuTarkov - NO, you will NOT get banned if you have a legit account as long as you don't discuss playing JETarkov on stream or something like that. There are also mods to customize your experience, you can safely run cheats (since it's offline pve), and your progression saves locally

Moving to Arma saved me Playing bo6 was just absolute suffering, how bad it runs, the garbage game modes and warzone, the cheaters and controller aimbotters Jumping back into Arma after so many years, ive never ever had so much fun and had my passion to properly sit down and enjoy a game be revived so strongly, just playing with mods, all the sandbox content and endless antistasi type gamemodes makes me never want to boot up any slop of duty again, absolute garbage games, It makes me realise people who play those types of games are built around bring streamlined and short term gratification, the gaming equivalent of tiktok brainrot, Its been hard to get friends who play it regularly to even remotely try anything else

Currently waiting for Delta Force to come to consoles, once that happens then controller support is available. I play on pc but with a controller, i know crucify me but my hands have fixated playing on controller for so long that mouse and keyboard is way too awkward for me. Unless it’s cs:go but i’d need more practice with it. I know DF has sbmm which gives it longer que times but im willing to try it and see how it is.

I'm surprised STALKER 2 isn't on this list. STALKER 2 is one of the best games I've played in a hot minute, despite it having some pretty major flaws with A life especially. I'm willing to cut the devs slack cause they're in a war and they still managed to create a massive world, a lot of shit to do and find in it, and just an overall great story and a whole lot of variation and replayability. STALKER 2 is the game that didn't directly make me uninstall COD, but made me realize that yeah, like the dude said "I just play it to play it" Like the devs of STALKER 2 managed to make a game that's objectively better than a bunch of games with higher budgets and corporations that aren't in war

Hell Let Loose was the main game to keep me away from CoD (Insurgency is also fun). Helldivers 2, Space Marine 2, and The Finals definitely made it easier to stay away from CoD.

One caveat which cannot be discussed in this short video: BSG, the devs of Tarkov, are very incompetent and the game has a lot of issues. For example, the net code almost 15 years old which leads to a lot of lag issues in combat. Further, there is no SBMM so if you’re new to Tarkov, you’ll be going up against people with over 5,000 hours in the game. Finally, to get good at Tarkov, you have to put in roughly 1,000 hours. I got to 650 hours before I quit PVP and went to PVE. I was a “very advanced noob.” Be warned
