They want to drink, not hear about the 101 concepts I have going on in my mind. Yet I have a heavy preference for talking about those, and hate small talk, so there you go. @@simchalevy6275 knowledge is facts you remember or skills you have learned. Wisdom is knowing what to focus on to help you live an ethical, successful, and satisfying life. Intelligence is knowing how to verify and apply your knowledge quickly and effectively. In hindsight, I would add creativity, which is where ideas come from to begin with. If a good idea was a painting, creativity would be the paint. It is the source of the painting. Knowledge would be the brush, you can collect it on the brush and then apply it. Intelligence would be the broad strokes. it forms the basis of the painting. Wisdom would be the details. Without the details the painting is lifeless, but the details take time. Knowledge is how you remember answers to a test or how to do CPR. Creativity is how you come up with the idea to search for a new type of KZbin video or to try having ice cream in your daily cup of coffee. Intelligence is how you know what combination of words will be most effective without needing to think and how you know that studying for a test would improve your grade. Wisdom is how you know that improving your grade by studying is better in the long run than watching KZbin videos and it is how you know that robbing a bank might get you lots of money, but it will probably get you in prison.

Cunning, smart, intelligent, wise, enlightened. The first is sneaky and manipulative, a good way to get people pissed off with you, the second is street smarts, how to avoid unnecessary immediate trouble, how to get along with people and win allies, thinking on your feet, accurately read others' mood and what they are likely to do, judge character, presence of mind, sense of occasion, and acting accordingly, etc., the third is abstract thinking, mathematics, logic, understanding or even creating equations of physics, etc., the fourth is longterm thinking, considering longterm consequences, considering longterm investments and returns, risk/reward, for yourself and your family/group/society, and the fifth is always being aware that everything you think is a provisional model open to revision upon receiving fresh information, that neither you or anyone else has the final, exclusive, complete truth or reality, categories or insights or power. Now to coordinate these five and see through others' bullshit. I've known very intelligent people that were very weak in the other four. @Chuck Mos Yes but I used to follow Hinduism but I don't, (unofficially) my parents do follow it but I have never told them that I don't follow it anymore since I don't want to disappoint them, but I feel like religions aren't really true and even if someone tells me "oOh ALLAH / JESUS / KRISHNA JI / OTHERS eXiSts" I just wanna tell them that what we PERCIEVE will not be the exact same to what we do as the OUTPUT. If someone tells you something and you tell it to someone else in your OWN WORDS, the meaning of the message will be ABSOUTELY DIFFERENT. So the same happens with the holy books, and books can easily be edited. if someone tells me that in the Al'Quran (I respect religions although) something was discovered before science discovered it, they are basically a fool because anyone can just write extra things in the Al'Quran to make it come into reality. That's why i am a Agnostic Theist (I don't follow religions but I follow God) because karma has caught me up in many ways and in my hardest times of despair whenever I take the name of God something good happens. It may be coincidence but the number of times it has happened, I think no. I believe God is rather a spirit which is in balance in the elements of the universe so yeah, and I won't tell my parents since I'm a kid and they'll be sad :( I don't want my parents to be disspointed so I'll tell them when I'm way older like 18 years old

Life is a lot less complicated when people don’t expect much from you. Honestly, I think people with average or below average intelligence have it easier. They live day to day, doing their best and they seem so much happier. I decided that was what I wanted. When I need to dust the old brain off and pull it out, I do, but I don’t particularly like it. Generally it's considered that Narcissistic are highly intelligent ,I have always challenged this idea . So why they look intelligent? They mastered the art of Manipulation ...they play games with just one option they are centrestage . You may be average Intelligent but you could be highly manipulative and that makes you look very intelligent. No,they just know the art of deceiving, cheating ,playing foul which makes them to win lot of games as in some Boss of some company . But is he very intelligent no he is very shrewd . Now imagine a highly intelligent person learns to be manipulative against manipulators ? He become the Big Boss only issue is his empathic mind would always say no after some point .
@maddannafizz3 жыл бұрын
I agree.. My brother is a sociopathic narcissist, and comes off as highly intelligent. And, he is, but for emotional intelligence of which he has none. Also, he has little empathy for others therefore makes seriously poor judgements in regards to people. He is super extra arrogant, and feels grandiose and right about everything he says and does ; this is plain emotional stupidity, but he is good at manipulation and tactical aggression to others. Yet, because of his over the top self approving ego, he is unable to see his wrong doings, and cannot correct his actions, or learn anything new. 🙌.

As an empath and a sensitive who decided too do exactly what you said and go toe to toe w/ a narcissist....I can say this. The sick part is I became obsessed with beating him at his own game. I've always been absolutely amazing at manipulation and I'm not proud of that at all. My entire purpose of doing this was too break him,toy with his mind. Once a narcissist starts too see someone knows exactly what he is and their better then him at his own games. You can see the changes, sweating in a room full of people, nervous, anxious, can't speak to anyone. He feels like everyone knows he's just a good liar. He's worried that I'll tell people too watch out etc...did I feel bad? Yes,to a point. Being empathic I felt his anxiety and I wanted to RUN very far away. I felt bad for showing him there are people who see right through you. What scared me is that for a minute it felt good too play. I used too listen to everyone and only ask certain questions. I enjoyed play6with minds. I haven't done it in about 10-15yrs that's not who I really am but it felt good too be playing mind chess with ppl everywhere and only he and I knew what was going on. Does that make me a terrible person? I only took a break from being depressed and angry. Unfortunately it was released on the 1st phoney I saw. Yes narcissists are intelligent but as u said only in lying . That's very ugly but I almost understood why they act that way. It got them the material items they wanted. It's all they know and they do believe their more intelligent then anyone around them.

Loneliness can be in part because people get bored with me,they don't know how to talk ,my facial gesture might comunicate i'm mad/upset/bad person. And also because i don't know how to approach to them, do my best...always try to be social but always fail. Put my self into very stresing Situations just to be among people, 'share' and stuff. Stresfull aituations are: be in a place that causes me extreme anxiety, too noisy, people smoking (oh my eyes), feel cold or pain, be too tired (since those situations demand too much energy, attention, concentration and alert). I really want a friend :( . Many people talk to me for a while and then i guess they get tired of me,they have told truth in front of me and then a lie immediately to skip any chance of meeting. @@SebbPianoArt in my experience, it actually seems more, we train our minds to do certain things. Like how a cab driver's brain a lots more space to the memorization of directions. Growing up I spent hours in the library reading non-fiction books. I never cared for the social sphere. As such, I had a disconnect from people. I always preferred absorbing facts and intuiting off of them.

You question number 9 on the basis of your own personal thought process that is basically saying that you think you are smart and if their indicators do not match your way of doing things then they must be wrong however as dealing with things intellectually rather than emotionally reduces the cognitive bias of your decisions this may serve well in some areas however the importance of knowing the emotional stand point of others around you is not to be understated by and by the one who knows people will out pace the one who knows books but the person who is able to integrate their knowledge of people and all other forms of knowledge may truly be called wise also please don't think that this means that I have a bad opinion of you as this is intended to help you be more aware of how you sound in the future to get your point across better next time you should instead of saying that you think the information is incorrect based on what you have experienced be more subtle and say that you wish to add to the information some things that may make it more complete adding your point of view and not negating the former for as a diamond has many facets and is considered beautiful so is knowledge when peered at from many different angles

High Generally intelligent vs high specially intelligent function different ways. Generally intelligent can cover a wide variety of fields, and can be the jack of all trades sort of deal. The high Specially intelligent become experts in a narrower scope of fields, and can end up unrivalled in those fields, but are not as useful in other field.

this can actually be psychologically explained using Carl Jung's jungian functions; Ne and Ni. Ne fits the first description while Ni fits the latter. People who use Ne more tend to be the 'jack of all trades, master of none', whereas Ni users tend to have a narrower scope of interests where all interest is focused on. i hope im right

Not really. "High specially intelligent," as you use it? Denotes what I'd call "a grinder" -- someone who works their arse off to become an "expert" by sheer grit and determination and endless hours of study, mostly for memorization purposes and not for idea cross-pollination, to ultimately achieve what he thinks is Expert Status. Not truly intelligent, but willing to do the work that will enable him to be mistaken for such. Commonly such people had near-perfect or perfect GPAs in high school and college, but if asked to talk about ideas, they're limited to regurgitating factoids they memorized, and they don't really have intellectual fluidity.

@@seanoneil277 i was more referring to Savants driven by Autism. It can be unparalleled, but at a cost. For example, Sometimes HVAC tradesmen are merely parts changers, not problem solvers. Knowing an air conditioning unit to a point one can feel the source of the problem before it can be verbally articulated is in that realm of specialized intelligence. The cost of which is knowing the engineers with fancy degrees are not designing them to last anymore, and having to try and fight the design itself, having learned enough about the limitations of the metallurgy and refrigerant properties to know some current designs do not last.

This is the best sum up of intelligence I have seen. Some of these points I have tried to explain to people almost word for word. My problem is I can't find a job because nobody knows how smart I am, and if you try to explain they will think you are bragging. Also the point in other comments, you can't have a meaningful conversation with anybody. Kids in school today are learning nothing of use, and they think they are smart. The problem is that they are the ones rewarded.

Perhaps it is just my POV but while job hunting years ago I decided the companies I got inverviews with didn't really want employees with higher intelligence unless he/she knew it had to be used to serve the company. Sometimes I think the interviewer felt threatened by me, wondering if I was a promotion climber and would try to get his/her job.

I have never felt intelligent but I knew I wasn't stupid. I have many tell me I'm wise, but I brushed it off as I just could see a situation for what it was. This was a cool video. I'm definitely going to look into things a little bit more. Very interesting stuff.

Being intelligent can be lonely unless you find an intellectually equal soulmate, which I was lucky enough to do. We both understand the other's need for solitude and have a daily ritual of eating our evening meal together, then teaming up against a computer to play Scrabble. Our vocabularies and esoteric jokes make other people side-eye us, but we genuinely don't care.

I am literally all of those things... I love doing things alone and can go on an entire internet adventure just from a single thought popping into my head, I make jokes and sarcastic comments pretty much every time I talk to my someone I'm close with, I know what I don't know and always try to look for way to learn what I don't know or what I need to know before knowing something else, I'm always curious about the world around me, from the simplicities (or complexities) of everyday life to the entire microscopic world our eyes can't see, I constantly talk to myself when I'm alone or always have full conversations or drawn out thoughts in my head, I would say I'm creative but don't know exactly what I'm creative with or at, I'd say I'm pretty open minded and try not to judge people unless I know more about them but there are times where I hear the name or description of something and just say "nope", I'm very observant unless I'm mindlessly going through the day, I notice things some people don't whether it be the intricacies in a piece of music I listen to or how even if I shut my door all the way, my uncle has the TV in the living room so loud that I can notice everytime the sound of the living room TV overpowers the sound of my TV, I try to be empathetic towards others because I don't know who they are or what they had to deal with that day, it can be hard though since I struggle with my own emotions (or lack thereof) from time to time.

When asking for dating advice I’m often told to just be confident. It irked me because most so-called confident people are putting up a big act to disguise their incompetence. I’m more comfortable remaining open minded about the possibilities and allowing my thoughts to go as deep as the momentum takes it. Of course, this is viewed by many as a lack of confidence and puts most women off.

A single-minded focus is another common trait. It can be a gift or a curse for those who get it. But, it can lead to great accomplishments. These people tend to be the "doers" who see things through to completion. When combined with a creative nature, it often shows up in entrepreneurs, captains of industry, and financial giants.

@@francisco5434 If I hadn't been struck down with severe arthritis in my thirties, I would be a manager of some sort by now. However, I know I have more control over my life and household, than most people do, because I've had to overcome petty corruption from a government department, I have had dealings with over the past few years. I'm in the process of reversing a wrong they have done to me. Also two people I encountered during that time, got what was coming to them, because my complains exposed their illegal activities. That takes not just knowledge, mine being old fashioned admin skills and very good English ( both fraudsters had poor admin skills and poor language use ), but will power and the ability to argue a case. Anyway in doing so, I help other victims out.

After reaching intelligence, i stopped overthinking, now its all quick lightening speed instinctive thinking and spot resolutions. I have answers to the unknown questions, i can read any human past present future, i can see the invisible from knowledge and make decisions understanding the micro chemistry of the decisions. Emotional also i am intelligent and overall too, there is a disconnection from lower emotions and intelligence, now problem is mind is forcing itself to reach more intelligence everyday and showing me ways to do it, the whole process from start to end is the process of psychology where emotions, events, situations, feelings play a major role in unlocking intelligence bit by bit, now my mind is after understanding the complex chemistry of nature and human mind that makes the reality in order to learn to predict future, which is next level intelligence. Most important energy i felt that fuels intelligence is sexual energy, the more it is the higher the intelligence. But i also saw that reaching intelligence beyond normal human reality makes a person capable to do anything without getting caught, and high chance if that person has weak character then his intelligence will surely become dark and evil, and he will not believe in right or wrong, and will become a symbolic demon
