Seen a lot of QBs fold against this Michigan defense the past few years. He was not bad at all in comparison. Dude was playing under the lights against the defending national champs on the road in front of 110,000 and one of the best defenses in the nation, will definitely not be the case the rest of the year

Prediction off this game. Michigan will go 8-4 this year. You can come for me on this one, but if Fresno State can put up 244 yards of offense against Michigan, then Texas can put up 450, USC can put up 350, Oregon 300, and Ohio State 325. And if Michigan can only put up 270 yards of offense on each of those teams, then 8-4 is a good prediction. My mind can change on that if they get with the program, but i'd be nervous if i were a Michigan fan

If Orji (and yes, it's early and I'm willing to wait to see how it goes) can't keep teams honest by making good passes (notice I didn't say long), then we are going to need to be creative if we are going to use him. Putting him in for an auto-off tackle run isn't going to cut it. Michigan offense seemed out of rhythm. They didn't establish a regular run, or a start making throws til' late in the game. Texas early is going to be a challenge. Our defense is stout and we have playmakers. Fresno had no respect for our receivers. Hopefully we give other teams a reason too :)

The issue isn't Michigan's Defense its the damn QB or QB's we have. We really don't know want we are getting out of Warren. Yes he has arm talent but putting the ball where it needs to be is his issue ESPECIALLY with the deep ball. As athletic as Orji is, I thought if he didn't win the starting job outright he would spend the rest of his time at Michigan as just a gadget QB and I may be correct. Orji has the highest ceiling and has a rocket arm but is not accurate at all. We are not going undefeated that's for sure.

Fresno played great, should be proud. Michigans offense looks like a brand new offense with a new OC and HC. The O-line was struggling was mesh early but in the second half Michigan got things going.

People need to understand that Fresno State would be a 6 or 8 win team in the Big Ten. They have talent on their roster and this game, while it did show Michigan's greenness on offense, is still a promising start to the season for Michigan. A very vanilla and NFL preseason-like gameplan/mentality is going to look a bit like this (minus the deep ball trouble, that is definitely concerning). The OL looked like they found their swagger late and so that's a good sign. Doesn't mean they're all set and going to dominate moving forward or anything, but it is a sign that they can take over a game. As they gel more and more, that will come earlier and earlier in games. The Texas game will tell us a lot more about this team as they still look to forge their identity.

My take on Michigan. The defense is still good, keep using your depth. The kicker seems to have a great leg, let's hope he stays accurate. Loveland seems to be the next great tight end at Michigan. Edwards needs to start getting to the corners more because he's not doing well up the middle. Davis Warren reminds me of Tom Brady in his first game starting in 1998 and Jake Ruddock's first game starting in 2015. The only difference was they lost those games and Warren didn't. Keep playing him but Orgi needs to play more to keep drives alive and to throw the ball more. Michigan has got to find ways to get Morgan and Tyler Morris touches in the passing game.

Typical first game offensively. They were pretty vanilla with Texas there scouting them. I think the difficult schedule will help them. Fresno State is a good team. They came in and fought hard. They put guys in the NFL too. They're tough. Going to be a great year. Go Blue and Go Grizzlies!

But Oh man… our defense may be even better than last year. Fresno St offense can score 3 tds on any college football team except maybe us, Bama, and Georgia.

I think it's clear who Michigan needs to start with. And they need to stop experimenting with the fact that a dropback passer is anything to mess with 2024, moving forward... Orji Simply gives them options, my concern is the offensive coordinator not the players... The defense the last quarter is the defense Texas it's gotta worry about all four quarters next week... The defense score two stik-n-piks on Fresno State, I look forward to them putting on a clinic for Sarkesian on Manning, they haven't played anybody.

For this Texas game I'm hoping they make this game dirty and just run the ball and ball control the hell out of that clock. The offensive line started to gel late in the game. @@vine5652 Okay ya'll gotta quit, comparing the different QB types, and roll with one system or another. There are 2 different types of quarterbacks for 2 different types of systems. The fact that they decided to roll with campbell's comfort zone, which is a dropback passer, not gonna really roll well with Michigan's continued success, they're gonna find out. They should have stuck with the system and the methodology that got them to the national championship. Orji was it... Now they just snuck back to Kurt Campbell's comfort zone... they're gonna pay a price for it... Michigan's probably gonna be 8-4 this year... If they get to 9-3, it's because says the defense played that good, which will secure them to a bowl - just not the top seed. But they're not gonna beat OSU this year with Warren at the helm, it's just not gonna happen... and that's sad with a dropback passer. I mean, the kids started the game with a pick - come on now they ought to know better... Kirk Campbell's reluctance to deal with dual threat. Quarterbacks is putting him at odds with the winning direction the game has been going for the last decade. You heard it here first, the calls to fire him will come probably halfway through the season. There was some of the most dumbass play calling I have seen michigan make in years... that's the OC folks
