Ok...when I first saw this clip back awhile ago, my only question was about how it really would have worked if the front door opened the correct way, which is that it should swing inward. No one's front door swings outward because that puts the hinges on the outside leaving your security vulnerable to anyone just prying your door off the hinges. You can see when the door opens that it is not coming from the garage or another room, but outside. Yes, I know that's not the focus of the clip, but for the cup fall to work properly the door should have been installed properly, too. 😖
@SaintSaintАй бұрын
@@cmtippens9209 It is opening "correct way" Front doors do normally swing outward(at least in most/all of the West) and for good reason. While it's true that the hinges will be on the outside, they often recessed or at least the pins are either welded or security pinned in place. This means that even with the pins fully removed, a security pinned door will not detach from the hinges. So why the outward swing? Well it's a lot easier to kick a door in than to remove the hinges. viewing crime tapes of home robberies will show this as well. You can't kick in a door that swings outward without an order of magnitude greater force. If your door swings inward, that's actually a much greater security risk. Get some #10 4" deck screws and replace those dinky little screws that hold the metal plate on your door frame. That's going to make it 10x harder to kick in your door. Source: Computer security and locksmithing 10+ yrs. I have been with my great grandfather, grandfather, and my father. Guess what! All these folks were born and brought up on a farm in Texas, including me, my siblings, cousins, uncles and aunts. All of these men were funny as eff, when working very hard, and they made us do that too. Some of us hated it, but couldn't escape the responsibilities, LMFAO. My great-grandfather taught me and my cousins how to collect cow dung for manure, doesn't matter if it were fresh and wet or dried up like bricks, it would be a hectic bone breaking day for us, but the best part of it was how we collected it. Lets say A is me, and in descending order my siblings and cousins, me being the first grandchild. I was always lucky to find dried up dung, and would lead the rest of the group to fetch the wet dung, LMFAO. I still laugh to this day and we all still live our lives the way our fathers and forefathers taught us. There is so much joy in thinking about them. Those old dirty buggers were very clever and you couldn't fool them one bit, at the same time you couldn't beat them in the way they showed their love and care for us till their last breath.
