As an older person with escalating disabilities, I'm thrilled to see these helpful robots. I'd love to see them in a big box store where they might be rentable by the half or whole hour - to help find certain products & carry heavy ones, get things off of high areas, give immediate correct prices of items, maybe provide internal safe guarded space to store my purse during shopping time. You will say the engineers who makes the robots but eventually the robots will make themself. Sure the engineers might be the spark for this evolution but that is about it. They will be the ignition for old cars that will eventually be replaced with teslas that do not even need the ignition to start properly. We would be utterly reduntant and outdated every single one of us. Evolution waits for nobody.
