My friend and I rode a Honda Shadow from Southern Idaho to the US Festival in 1983. Was excruciating but, the event made up for the pain and discomfort. I took a bus back though. Went for Metal day but, the majority of it was pretty cool. Hotter than hell and a shitload of ultra hot chicks. 🤘🤘🤘

If you included us, I’d like to know how many people were there. Given the city only has a population of 800 000, probably nowhere near 1 000 000 but I’d still like to know.

But it wouldn't be surprising if there were more people than official figures show. I remember Pink Floyd's first show at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal in 1977, the official figures were 78,322 spectators, but according to some stadium gatekeepers, the number of spectators was well over 80,000 or even nearly 85,000 people.
