Thanks Mike - good video. One thing I learned is to put the front end up on ramps or use a jack when draining/filing the radiator. This reduces the chance of an air bubble forming in the lines. The Geo Metro 13" rims match the bolt pattern on the Suzuki Carry. Also, remember to run DOT certified tires on the highway. Most of the aggressive tread ATV tires are not DOT cert. We run Forceum M/T 08 for off road work.

Yes I usually park my truck on my steep driveway to help get the water into the heater box and the air out. There’s a small air bleed on the engine up by the thermostat as well 👍 yep I made a video a few years back talking about tires and the Forceum MT are definitely what I decided to go for. ATV tires are trash on these trucks 👎 Thanks for checking out my videos!

Mike, do you do your own alignment for your tires? I've only had my truck for a week, but I had originally asked the dealership I got it from to add a 2" lift. It wobbled really bad on a 5 to 10 mile trip, that I had to slow with the brakes down to 30 or less. Every time I got close to 45-47 it started the death rattle. They said bring back to their mechanic to get adjustment or bushings. They finally took off lift kit, but it still does it, but less. They said can't do but tape measure alignment.

I've got a Kei Van, I've had it for 6 years, In that time I've replaced the tires, checked the coolant and brake fluid, it's a 13 year old Mitsubishi minicab miev EV Kei van. Previously I had an 84 550cc Honda acty van which we drove from Sydney nsw to Adelaide South Australia and back. This is a great video mike.

Great tips Mike! I did most of that for all the reasons you mentioned. Except.... rear brake shoes, the truck spins out on me if I have to lock up the brakes. Scary stuff. Tried everything I know except the shoes, so 🤞

Got a 91Suzuki at Japanese auction (dump) will take time to arrive east coast. Your video was great appreciate the bullet points for maintenance ... I assume your 92 will have same as my 91? I live rural and will use for moving lumber, cord wood, manure... but I like a clean machine and will use it on the road for local travel. Pretty psyched. I'm 70. Lived in Japan 2 years in the 80's and drove one all over. Can't wait!
Love these videos! Been wanting to build a small camper for my Suzuki. Would you ever make a cost breakdown of your camper?

All great advice. I have to do all these things on my Suzuki. Right now the fuel pump isn't working and the spark is really weak. I replaced the plugs but the spark is a weak yellow/orange. Maybe I have to change out the coil.
@1979augistine4 ай бұрын
Change plug wires and coil wire cap rotor as well as coil you will be amazed what carbon tracking will do to your spark
@Wil_Liam14 ай бұрын
If the spark is yellow on all spark plugs then it isn't the plugs,but the cdi,coils,distributor cap,maybe even the rotor,but highly doubtful unless it's heavily corroded,or really badly worn because there is a voltage drop due to bad coil,corrosion,or shorting cdi causing the weak firing on all cylinders... If it was just a plug or wire then only that cylinder would show weak yellow or white fire,not all 2,3,4,5,6,8,10,12,16...

Basically what Mikie mentioned in this video should be done to any used vehicle one buys that has some miles and or age on them... Better to do the basics now,and have many trouble free miles without any major high cost brake downs because you didn't want to swap out a 30 dollar belt,or a cheap hose,or a few bucks worth of ignition parts... Just the tow bill will cost you more than the replacement parts and labor will BEFORE it breaks...

Hey Mike, great video as always. My Minicab is currently no start, and I'm going to have to pull the carb ( I have a spare). While I'm there, I suspect the vacuum lines are factory original - can I replace them with the same Amazon air running you included in the description, or is there something better to use? Obviously I'll verify ID and approximate length before ordering. Thanks!

Are "most" JDM KEI trucks 4×100mm bolt patern for the Rims, or are they awkward sized?

Hi, I’ve been thinking a lot recently about getting one of these trucks . Do you think someone that is 6 foot three like myself could fit in that truck comfortably?
@RuggedSportsmen4 ай бұрын
No! It’s upsetting but my buddy who is 6’2 cannot fit in my Suzuki carry
@Fatpandaoreo4 ай бұрын
There’s not much comfort in these trucks, but it’s doable for sure. I daily a Honda Acty HA4 and I’m 6’3” 220lbs. So not huge but not tiny. Find one for sale and test drive it but if I can fit you can probably fit too!
@RichardCasto3 ай бұрын
Depends upon what you call "comfortable", how you are built (is your height in your upper or lower body) and which Kei truck you pick as not all are the same with respect to space for drivers. I am 6'5" and 280 and I daily drive a Mitsubishi Minicab. For me space around my knees to allow for turn signal is the tight spot. But otherwise plenty of headroom and no issues moving feed around. If you buy one, you should make sure you fit in it. For example I wanted a Honda Acty, but don't fit well in it, but fit in the Minicab.
@markseehawer37624 ай бұрын
If I had one of those trucks the first thing i'd do is transplant a 1200 cc goldwing engine trans into it. than i'd put a couple of CRV honda axles in it.
@Wil_Liam14 ай бұрын
And what would you do without reverse,or 4wd ?? Why not a turbo busa engine?? 3x + the hp...
