My Grandmother was a Quaker in Philadelphia and owned property in New Jersey. Her ancestors were anti slavery people and were part of the Underground Railroad sending escaped people north to Canada. My Grandmother told me stories about the Quakers setting out colorful quilts on the line overnight. There was a code set up for people to read. Diamonds were for a safe house and bars meant to keep going down the road.

Perhaps it would be edifying for you to learn the story of William Ellison? Mr. Ellison was a former slave in South Carolina who presumably purchased his freedom. Mr. Ellison had a very valuable skill, he could repair cotton gins and once free set himself up in that business and became quite successful. So successful, in fact, that he was able to purchase a very respectable home, hundreds of acres of land, and owned nearly 70 slaves. It seems, therefore, that the institution of slavery was not a uniquely "white" institution, as the current history of both Africa and the Middle East demonstrate quite clearly.

@shanceeaton9508 why are you obsessed with hiding them? The truth is easy to twist if you have a political goal, but im interested in the whole truth. My ancestors were enslaved for 400 years in North Africa, but that isnt a popular thing to speak about. It doesnt have any political value today. People are evil, but we need to move on with our lives, so that we can better ourselves. There are people who get rich off of retelling old stories and manipulating groups of people into not bettering themselves. I dont care what color of skin a person has. I only care about their character. I hope that people can learn the ways of peace and love and put away their hatred of each other. Hatred and war only benefits the wealthy.

No wonder why they wanted slavery to last forever. However some of these plantation owners weren’t too quick-witted. The funny thing is that southern politicians usually invoked the religion. Did they ever say that everything was just about money?
@NoahBodze
@NoahBodze Жыл бұрын
They didn’t. Every - even marx - knew slavery is the least productive form of labor and retards the growth of modern economy. Southern slave holders wanted to get rid of their slaves and take advantage of the better European labor, the problem was what to do with the slaves. You can clearly see the damage caused in the unified states by simply letting them go free. Blacks have destroyed whole cities in the United States without building a single block. They’ve always been extremely violent, and the slave owners knew this.

It's a very dark spot in all of human history, yet we are the only country that nearly destroyed ourselves to stop it. And we are still fighting over it today. Which is stupid. Not everyone in the South had slaves. And not all slaves were black. Yet the government and our society today still, penalizes the entire region because of it. It's a talking point that has been beaten to death, but people keep resurrecting it. If you want to stop racism, stop talking about it. Morgan Freeman, a very intelligent and wise Southerner.

That sounds like some bull to me. The only ones I’d agree with, based on WHITE surnames that blacks took as their own after the plantation slavery system finally died off, is Calhoun and i know i saw the name Franklin too. Plenty of black and white wandering the south and US today w those last names. But no, there must’ve been a biiggg owner w surname of Williams and Jackson. Both are very British surnames and still very white surnames in merry old England but not in the US. Unless someone has info directly refuting this, that’s my understanding of how and why so many black people and families today have British, Scottish, Irish, or even French surnames. I’m not here to trigger anybody though anyone under 30 probably will be just by my profile 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄... breathe ok. just came across this video and played to see the supposed big players. For the record I most certainly do oppose slavery of every kind. I don’t have to hate you in order to have love, respect and hope for my own race.

Joseph , I agree with alot of what you are saying . Making one person pay for anothers sin is really questionable . I can understand the feelings , crimes of humanty really piss me off as well . I remind you 24 % of free blacks in Louisianna had slaves and mostly not to free them , what do we do with all those black people that owned slaves , it is much less the example but just saying , do you get the same strong feelings about black slave owners and persecute all the descendants who did not do the crime . What about all the black people that lives in free states and were not slaves like in Georgia or Florioda , OR NEW York which became a non slave state and helped in ending slavery . Of course the system in America has everyone one of every color listed as chattel , corporate property, ship wrecked salvage under maritime law . I think that you have no access to descendants of slave owners , you may want to focus on the business instead of the descendants for example . If a plantation or the business entity is still in existence you may be able to go after the entity and liquidate the assets to the victims just like when a corporation called government in the U.S. has a corporate officer ( know as law enforcement ) enforcing codes and statutes for money when it is not law actually ( look up MOTU PROPRIO , THE CORPORATE OWNER , THE POPE ISSUED WARNING TO ALL THE CORPS STILL ACTING LIKE GOVERNMENTS WHICH ARE REALLY VATICAN CHURCH CLERGY CAN HAVE THEYRE PERSONAL AND DEPARTMENT assets liquidated to the victims . If you could charge a still existing business entity you would have to prove that you are the victim , not just a simliar color as the victim . I cant give lawful advice just share info . I dont think you can charge a descendant for another persons crime and I dont think that the slave descendant is still the victim as the ancestor was , Question ? - Do you think the black moors in America today and elsewhere should be charged for selling all those black people out to other colors of people ? What about black slave owners in America , what do you want for people that were white slaves in America and the Sugar plantations in America and Barbados , How much research have you done on white slavery , How would you feel if slave history was really black .white / and red peoples history with similar history and experience ? Don't watch the movie, it's garbage with a lot of fiction thrown in. The book gives you a firsthand account from someone who endured slavery first under a kind loving master and later under a ruthless cold-hearted slave owner. But most of you won't read it. You're either on one side or the other and only want to hear from sources that 100% support the opinion you already have.
