War & Peace is a good read. It’s long (obviously) but not a particularly taxing book. Flows quite nicely. I’d been lying if I remembered all the specifics as it’s been ages since I read it but yeah, give it a go. If you’re looking for a great Russian read, I’d recommend Dostoevsky (The Brothers Karamazov especially). Gogol not to my taste. The Hungry Caterpillar is also good (although I only got around to reading that more recently). Can’t believe I finally comment on one of your videos and this is what I type… 🤦🏾 Keep up the great work. Long time fan since name redacted days. Got me through some tough times. I can definitely see where Adam is coming from on AEW being harder to follow. One of my major problems with WWE was that it felt, at times, like it was catered to small children or people with short term memory problems. The second half of the show was roughly 50% recaps of earlier in the show or what happened in the weeks before. However, I understand that makes the product very easy to drop in and out of. Especially in the PRE-Triple H era, you could legit not watch any of the week to week shows, watch the PPV and basically have everything make sense. I personally watch Dynamite and Collision every week (still do not watch Rampage, the show is a waste of time IMO), and love the references and such. I really miss back when BTE was more of a thing and the subtle nods that they would make to BTE storylines/gimmicks. I do agree that TK needs some help in the balancing act of 4 hours of TV (yep Rampage = Main Event so does not count) and roughly 40 story lines. And Please TONY BOOK THE WOMEN BETTER.

Rampage is a good in ring hour watch before smackdown. The other week with top flight and action andrehti vs Penta komander and vikingo was a fun match to see. It's a cool preshow for smackdown.

Things I want to see from specific companies in 2024: WWE: 1)Continued momentum throughout the year. I don't watch WWE week to week, but I've been more interested than I have been in a long time. AEW: 1) Return/revamped rankings system & divisions. (international championship division, world title division, etc. ) 2) Swerve World title run 3) Refocus in the tag team, trios, and women's division 4) Specific wrestlers on each show. Not a hard brand split, but for example the continental champion stories being told on Collision and the International championship division on Dynamite could help the titles establish an identity and not feel devalued as well as knowing which stars we can expect to follow each week. 5) The Owen Cup (men & women) and C2 being the only tournaments this year. Both ending with the winner getting a title shot at the next big PPV. Example: Owen cup winner gets the main event slot at All In. ROH: 1) Little to no title defenses on AEW TV. 2) Finding a permit home at Daily's place 3) Finding its own unique voice through a sports based wrestling product. NJPW: 1) More focus on the homegrown talent. It feels like everyone is starting to settle in their roles. 2) Compelling G1 with only two brackets. TNA: 1) Just to continue rebuilding itself.

ROH shifting to someone else, along with a chunk of the roster, would go well with getting their own place. This reminds me of an idea I had when the split was first suggested, which was to have either Cary Silkin reappear or somebody else in a position of power take over Daily's Place, as a kayfabe reason for them to stay in one location. Only issue is when AEW returns to Daily's, but there's different ways they could work it out. I did not expect to hear a Wacky Races pitch. Used to love watching that cartoon. Question is, what'd be the theme of their cars.

Listening to Adam's second pitch and the justification "Everyone is going to be expecting Will to win, so just don't do it" reminds me of Drew vs Roman at Clash of the Castle, and the utter not at all accepting reaction of the fans to that result despite how obvious it looked like Drew's victory was leading into it. This strikes me as more of the same as that and honestly, no offence to Swerve Strickland, he's not over enough as a face to not get booed out of the building if that happens. Would be a great mega heel booking move for Swerve though.

I hate swerve booking for the sake of 'well the fans expect it, so let's not do it' - sometimes the obvious story is the best story to tell. Having Ospreay challenge for the title at Wembley and lose is such a WWE mentality - they love getting cheap heat by pissing off the hometown fans to get a reaction. Ospreay WINNING the title at Wembley would be the right thing to do - theres no bigger platform you could give him to win the title on than in front of his home fans at a major ppv.

I think the women’s tag division is in a solid position to improve right now, the division should be built around Kayden & Katana for years to come. Add a few other women’s tag teams and let them build chemistry together like Bliss and Morgan (when they return), Bayley and Kai, Henley & Stratton, etc.

If they bring back King of the Ring I'd love for them to make it this massive thing company wide. Most of the time it's just 'Here's 8 people we picked randomly and they're in a tournament now' but I want a 64 man or even 128 man tournament. The Continental Classic has shown us the add value that can be added from having greater stakes than just an imaginary winners purse so I think it'd be neat to have stuff on RAW/SD/NXT progressing this tournament. Heck, you could even have qualifiers on LVL UP where someone could have a breakout moment by getting through to a few rounds, akin to a non league club going on an FA Cup run. Or maybe bring in some one shot deals from Japan or Mexico to show how prestigious this thing is that it's attracting attention from overseas.

Adam doesn't like "thrown together" tag teams winning the WWE Women's Tag Titles, so his solution is to break up the first women's tag team that's been used consistently since the IIconics? Kayden and Katana have been tagging for 3 1/2 years and are the first team to win the NXT and WWE belts, and you want to burn that down to give Nia Jax a lengthy run with a belt? Damage Control wanting all the belts and getting increasingly frustrated by Kayden and Katana's underdog heroics is 100x more interesting than anything Nia is going to do with a mid-card belt. Bring Ricky Morton to the Performance Center for two weeks to teach Katana, Kayden, Asuka and Kairi the beats of the R&R Express - Horsemen feud. Katana still has some residual pop in the United States from American Ninja Warrior, has massive charisma, and can pull off insane aerial spots.

As someone who loves 'spooky shit' in wrestling, it has to be all or nothing. If you're running a relatively reality based promotion, I don't mind a spooky gimmick - as long as it's grounded in reality. If the House of Black is a bunch of culty weirdos who brainwash people, I'm fine with it. But if they start summoning monsters or shooting fireballs, then no... I'm not cool with it. On the other hand, if you're Lucha Underground or CHIKARA , and you've established that everything's fair game and you're willing to commit to that 100%, then have at it. I guess what I'm saying is that you either have a wrestler who's an ACTUAL undead ghost pirate or you don't. You can't have someone be a crazy voodoo priest one week and then just a guy in make-up the next, only to expect me to believe it the following week when he's beating his opponent with a voodoo doll the week after. Either you commit to it across the board, or not at all.

The one thing I really don't want is another title reign that last forever. These titles being on Roma, the Uso's and Gunther forever I think hurt the company and opened the door for AEW (of course they went nuts and added 30 different belts 😅) but with all these great wrestler's in their prime and killing it week in aweek out they need to have something to show for it. Even if it's only for a month or so

Completely agree on the ROH issue. Alot of AEWs booking problems started creeping in/increasing when they introduced ROH to weekly AEW TV. I loved the original ROH but the ROH we're getting now is not ROH - its just TKs way of getting more belts and a brand name on TV. ROH now it watered down and in turn is also diluting the AEW product. When i tune into AEW i wanna see AEW - not a random match for another 'company'. As a viewer im 100% uninterested in anything that happens on the ROH front. I mean, from a kayfabe perspective - shouldnt Samoa Joe be pissed that Eddie Kingston is walking around calling hinself a World Champ when Joes the one whos the World Champ of the actual brand we're watching? Are we supposed to believe that Joe and Kingston are on an even level as World Champs?
