The iron verse isn't even talking about iron coming down from natural outer space to earth by meteors. It appears to be saying that iron is a special divine substance that Allah miraculously sent down from heaven itself.
@KaiHenningsen
@KaiHenningsen 6 жыл бұрын
And in any case, the reality is that it's meteorites all the way down. It's not that iron didn't develop on earth, it's that earth developed from colliding meteorites. Before the meteorites, there was no earth. There was just a large cloud of dust circling around the new-born sun, slowly clumping into what we now call "meteorites" if they hit earth, then these clumps clumping together, and so on.
@JuryDutySummons
@JuryDutySummons 6 жыл бұрын
It's a supernatural explanation for meteoric iron. At the time most iron that was found, was found on the surface and it was known that this iron fell from the sky. This kind of iron can still be found today - just go out to an empty field with a metal detector and your bound to find some.

I was about to point that out that the verse is in the same vein as the god saying that just like everything, this is also a blessing sent from the heavens (read god) to the mortals e.g. just like the heavenly food that god used to send down to the mortals for a while...

The Kaaba, the cube about which pilgrims to Mecca walk en masse, contains a black stone said to be a meteorite in one corner, at least in part. I always look upon this as Muslims worshipping a meteorite as their god without truly being aware of its history. Then I chuckle. This claim in the video reminded me of it. I know it's Wikipedia, but there are multiple citations - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Stone

You see, "dawah" is a very great deed within Islam. "Dawah" translates to invitation. And that the Quran itself says, la ikraha fi deen (meaning "there is no compulsion in religion.") So I am here to give you an invitation, your complete choice of hearing me out and remember you wont be compelled into accepting :) To start off with this little side note, God knows human beings are intellectual creatures. Think about it: if a random person today claimed to be a prophet, what would people instantly think? They would think that "prophet" is crazy. God knows this. He created us. Obviously he knows us better than we will ever know ourselves. That is why God, Allah, sent signs or miracles with every prophet to give some backing to the "crazy" talk of all these prophets. For example, Moses split the red sea by the will of Allah. That was one of his miracles to convince the people of his time. Another example would be how Jesus raised the dead by the will of Allah. Even Christian's believe this. But Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was sent to all of man kind. Moses was sent to the people living in his time and the people living until the next prophet, Jesus, had been sent. So what if the prophet was sent to all of man kind? What is the problem with a miracle like Moses' or Jesus' miracle? That it can only be a miracle to the one witnessing it. Today we hear how Moses split the red sea. Is that a miracle to us though? Of course it was a miracle to the followers of Moses that saw it with their own eyes. To us, it remains a miraculous story but not a "miracle." So what is a miracle that can be presented to all of man kind even after the prophets time? A book. An unchanging, static book. This book, the Quran, IS the ultimate miracle given to the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. And this comment will reveal only some miracles within it. Side note: I do want to mention how the Quran strongly recommends the use of the intellect. This book recommends contemplation numerous times. Hundreds of times. So look at these miracles with your intellect. "Indeed, the most disliked created beings in the Sight of God are the deaf and the dumb who do not use their intellect." (Quran, 8:22) "[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded." (Quran 38:29) There cannot be 100% evidence for God unless he shows himself. But the evidence we have is at least enough that God might (even 1% faith) exist. Any signs Allah gives are maybe not (to you) prove 100% he exists. They are meant to prove he MIGHT exist. Because if he might exist, if Islam might be true, if Heaven might be real, if Hell might be real, why not believe? If you agree with Islam might be true, you agree I might end up in Hell forever. What kind of risk is that? Is it even worth it? Anyways, These are some signs of Islam being true I have compiled: One out of many scientific miracles: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYrEm36iYr2lbMU Watch this fully as the professor at the end is a famous EMBRYOLOGIST Dr. Keith Moore. The thing about this is: an embryologist confirms the Quran and NO (you can check) embryologists refute him. And his books of Embryology are still available and likely taught in anatomy classes. Why does he still have a career as an embryologist, his books are still out there, and not one embryologist refutes him if he was wrong? Historical miracle: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2LQhHt7gaqhbZY Mathematical miracles: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXvappWCg7ppacU These are just 3 out of dozens. The Quran has so many interesting things within it (miracles + facts that arent exactly miracles but are correct and would be near impossible to have known in the 7th century. These just reinforce the divinity of the Quran). If I included it all this comment would be very, very long. If anyone wants to hear more feel free to ask. But... If you believed Allah MIGHT exist, then why not follow Allah? Either you, as Atheists see it, disappear and never exist again/whatever you believe. Or burn in hell forever. Does that sound reasonable? Even if you believed 1% God might exist, that 1% chance God exists and you will go to hell forever is not worth the risk. And the 1% chance you will lose out on eternal paradise is not worth the risk. So... being non Muslim *is not worth the risk.* Assalam alaykum (peace be upon you) :)

There's an even bigger problem with the second claim, the one about iron. Iron doesn't exclusively come from space. A significant portion of earth crust is made up of iron minerals (the crust is 8.1% iron by weight), and the core is believed to be primarily an iron-nickel alloy. There has been iron on the earth since its formation, and people had known about iron smelting for thousands of years before the Quran was written. The oldest known smelted iron artifacts are from 3000 to 2700 BCE. Smelted iron is also distinct from meteoric iron in that meteoric iron typically contains non-trivial quantities of nickel while smelted iron contains only trace quantities.

Yep. If the Quran had claimed water came from asteroids that would have been a really good guess that is in accord with (some) current scientific thinking not available at the time. But to claim iron only comes from asteroids is just plain wrong. 80% of the earth's core is iron. It didn't get there from asteroids, it was the majority of the mass that the earth formed around in the planetary disc 4.5 billion years ago. It's the most abundant element on Earth by mass. (4th most abundant in the crust). Oh well I suppose it just proves Islam is just another man made piece of fiction like every other religion. That and apologists really can't afford to do even basic research or the cognitive dissonance hurts too much.

Many things were not in books, doesn't mean it didn't exist. Same goes to Gobekli tepe or something, we had no books about it, but so far is oldest city we know for now. Anyway, here is a long comment from me not related to this video if you interested. I won't tell you what to believe or what exists or not, but here we go. Some facts are impressive, however there are some things explainable super easily and is not shocking at all. For example, fact 9, about burned skin. Yes, scientific tests maybe were made very late or some writings made about it, but people get burned ever since they managed to ignite the fire. People did burn their feet and hands, even burning "witches". Of course after heavily burns people realised they don't feel pain in that specific burned area, is super simple and even super expected one. About waves below and above... Well it is very stretched idea in my opinion, it doesn't really tell about what exact waves or how many different waves it is talking about. In my understanding it means waves below and above, meaning waves in water and waves above(wind). Am I right or not, who knows, everyone can believe what they want, but it doesn't say specifically about it. And mentioning wind as waves above makes much more sense here for me. Also about water... Yes, if you go so deep into molecule level, it sounds amazing. Although it doesn't mention anything about it. And to say that is surprising people in desert can tell water is life is so dumb. People in desert knows best they won't survive even few days without water. Any human walking in desert for a day or two would realize water is super important to live. So again, nothing shocking. About iron... I have no idea what it is talking about. Yes, I guess meteorites can have iron, however there is tons of iron in earth and under ground level. There is very high amount of iron in earth compared to other metals. If we call it un earthy material while there is tons of it under ground, then all materials are sent from the sky I guess. This one makes no sense at all. About clouds. Well that one is interesting and can agree on it. However I don't understand what it says about "but they turning away from it". Who turning away from sky? Or people turning away from God? As if it is second, it kind of makes no sense, as first part talking about cloud being protective ceiling, like a scientific fact, then just whining that people are idiots and don't believe or follow God properly. Idk, first part is cool, but second part I don't get what it means. Things like universe expanding is very hard to judge and people can believe what they want. Yes, that is correct. But people can tell same meaning that there are more and more people on the globe or that people starts to move to Mars. That "universe is expanding" can mean any of that. Such sentences doesn't say anything specific so if you know such fact, you will think ohh WOW, nice. If you don't know such fact, you will just think it means people are expanding, population and everything is growing. And that sentence can fit to express any of that. That moon and sun is rotating is very interesting. That one I can give credits and is surprising. However is also surprising how Shumerians(?) even egypt knew quite a bit about stars. Of course is hard to understand how much they knew, but honestly i wouldn't be surprised that egyp and mayans could know it and people forgot/lost such information later on. Or it just wasn't widely known, Idk, there is probably many things that people knew and information got lost within age. Could be one of it. However as I said, this one I can agree as a interesting fact.

Even if it says the universe is expending that would be ONE thing true for THOUSANDS of nonsense... Especially since you do not need any prerequisites to emit the hypothesis that the universe is expending, therefore that hypothesis could very well predate the Quran too (it's not as if it described precisely quantum mechanics and general relativity). It's expected for book of that size to contain at least one assertion that happens to be true ; there's nothing miraculous about that, that's good old statistics.

The bottom line is that when the Koran, or any writing from that dark period of history, talks about the "orbit of the sun," they are obviously talking about the primitive belief that the sun revolved around the earth just as the moon does. You don't get to say, "Oh! Maybe they were talking about revolving around the center of the galaxy!" That's bonkers. And if we could point to one passage, just ONE, that seems to say the earth does in fact revolve around the sun, I'll take that back and eat one of my shoes in penance.

As an ex-muslim and a native Arabic speaker, please allow me Stephen to further debunk the actual meaning and accurate interpretation of some of those verses: 2- “We sent down Iron” means that Iron arrived to Earth the same time Adam & Eve came down to Earth, and the inherint strength refers to swords, spears, and pickaxes. 3- “We made the sky a protective ceiling” Most Islamic schools agree that the protection of this ceiling is from devils trying to sneak into Earth and not to protect against asteroids or meteorites. 4- "The monutains as stakes” this is just silly as Al-Tabri translations of the quran says that the mountains are put to hold the earth from floating away, just like a tent is held by stakes from the wind. 5- “and keep expanding it” this i s just inaccurate translation of Arabic, the verse says إنا لموسوعون The root word "موسع" means make vast or large, and the islamic translations agree the verse meant that God will make the prosperity or wellbeing of the people vast and wide, and had nothing to do with astrophysics. 6- “each floating in its orbit” whats funny here is that the word “orbit” meant a million different things back in Mohamed’s time, but none actually match outlr current understanding of the word. All notable Islamic interpretations refer to it as similar to the old stone grinders having opposite paths. Meaning whenever the sun is in orbit the moon is not, and vice versa, which is completely wrong on every level. 7- "which is covered by waves, above which are waves” I dont know how guy in the video came to the conclusion that the verse states there are internal waves. The word cover or qeshaa means someting that is outside or a boarder of an object. So the ocean can be said to be covered by waves, but where are the other waves external to those? This seem to be another fallacious scientific claim. 8- here the word forhead is another example of false translation as the verse actually meant the entire face, the word in arabic is Nassia, which means the front of the head (which is the face), the verse talked about a man who supposedly threaten Mohamed and God thretens him back if he were not to stop, God would shame and darken his face in humility and torture, then God takes it a step further and escalate the situation, where he calls on to Abu-Jahal for a fight, where he brings his people, and God would bring his people (the angels)

@reverted to the true and straight path It would be more convincing if you actually presented evidence. Do you speak Arabic? Have you read the Qur'an in original language and can give a counter to his argument? Can you present an argument where Farid has supposedly destroyed others? I also seen Farid destroyed by AP, but that is according to AP. Do you see how that works? It is easy to convince fellow believers that your side won. It is much harder to convince the non-believers that your side won. That takes logic and evidence. Be more specific. Be evidence based and less emotional.

@reverted to the true and straight path so you were born a Muslim and then became an atheist for bad reasons, then went back to Islam for worse reason .. what a terrible journey you had my friend. You see the true Islam wouldn’t have given you the chance to actually revert, according to the prophet, you should be killed as soon as you leave the religion. So if we followed the Sharia law, you would be already be dead and will go to hell “if there is such a thing”. And please dont say that its safer to believe so if God happens to exist you wouldn’t go to hell, this is not a 50/50 scenario because there is a million God claim out there and its really important to call god the right name and read the right book and practice the right religion. Its not like deists will go to heaven. The Quran repeatedly say that only Muslims will go to heaven. And even If i grant you that it is a 50/50 chance of your god existing, believing in him just to be safe wouldn’t be a genuine true belief, you would be a hypocrite. God probably won’t accept you either. You only prayed and worshiped in greed of heaven and in fear of hell, and I don’t blame you because the whole system is messed up. Threat of Punishment and the promise of reward is a tool that shouldn’t be used be an almighty who is omniscient and all loving, its a tool used by dictators and prison guards. I personally won’t even worship the Abrahimc God if he appeared right in front of me, because he is an evil misogynistic monster who promotes hatred, war, homophpia, and slavery. It would just be a sad fact that this beautiful universe is ruled by this angry devil

Actually geocentric model dominated in the western world. I can't speak for the other parts of India but I've been forced to read tamil poets that existed way before Islam and Christianity that spoke of earth rotating the sun in a very common way, leading me to believe it was probably a common belief that earth was not the center. But it'd be interesting to know if other cultures considered the idea as well. So yeah. People had a brain before the Islamic god decided to come along.

This looks a lot like the Hindu equivalent of what the Muslim apologists criticized in this video are doing. Rig Veda 1.35.9 The golden-handed Savitar, far-seeing, goes on his way between earth and heaven.Drives away sickness, bids the Sun approach us, and spread the bright sky through the darksom region. Other translation: The gold-handed, all-beholding luminary travels between the two regions of heaven and earth, dispels diseases, and this, verily, is known as the sun, and it finally overspreads the sky, extending from the dark interspace to the celestial region 1.164.13 Upon this five-spoked wheel revolving ever all living creatures rest and are dependent. Its axle, heavy-laden, is not heated: the nave from ancient time remains unbroken. So it's clear that these are hard to translate, but it's dishonest to claim they express scientific knowledge by inserting it by heavy(handed) interpretation. This is not an objective approach, it's starting with the conclusion (This has to be scientific somehow) and trying to make it fit somehow and ignoring everything else.

@@LeGrandMort I'm not a Hindu theist, so the other translation you provided made no sense to me. I also don't know sanskrit, so I just checked out the translation in my copy. And my point is not that rig veda or Hinduism is scientific, but that people probably did have common sense back then. As I said, we have several references to earth rotating the sun in tamil poetry. I don't think it was impossible for people to figure out the heliocentric model. If I'm not wrong, there was one scholar in Egypt who proposed a heliocentric model before Christ and mohammad, but his model was complicated. And though his model was wrong, he did get the heliocentric part correct. ETA: Apparently the first man to propose a heliocentric model of earth was a dude from 3rd century BCE, named Aristarchus of samos. ETA2: Went back, searched up translations and turns out you were right. The translation is totally misleading. Will delete the wrong info from OP. Thanks for telling me.

This miracle is even more BS, when you know the context. When visited by guests, muhammad had the habit to compliment the one staying behind guarding the camels/horses/goats of his comrades. It was an easy trick to show his humbleness to the visitors, thus appearing wise and modest. One of those guys realized it, and stayed behind on purpose, to be complimented by muhammad as a good and trustful person. At that time, words were everything, and a prophet's compliment was like a 1 million subs on Twitter: it makes you important. Then the guy revealed his plan to all, making a fool of the prophet publicly. As god's favorite, muhammad couldn't take back what he said, without acknowledging his own weakness and not-so-divine-wisdom. That's how he accused the guy from treachery and lies, pretending he set the prophet up afterwards, just to boast about it. Thus the citation we got there.

About the iron thing: Although the arabic verb translates to "send down", it is mostly used in the sense of reveal, or "send down the book of god". The other uses are with water (rain), tranquility, and iron. So why would we make an exception for the iron being from space, while the others are not? If it really meant space, the early Quranic explanations (Tafseer) would have mentioned that, but most importantly, if we grant it that is means space, all other occurrences of the verb wouldn't make any sense at all. So it all comes to: "in this particular occurrence, it means sent down from space, because it's in line with what I already believe". More than that, saying it's from space doesn't explain anything, is it a dead star? is it two dead stars? is it a meteorite? is it god's poop?

It’s been 1 year since you made your comment. Hopefully today you are wiser and can see that you were wrong. You stated that Quran makes an exception for iron yet you fail to show the exception. Big fail. Sent down rain, sent down tranquility, sent down the Quran. So how is that different from sent down iron? The location of where it is sent from is irrelevant. I’m sure you don’t think rain comes from space do you? I’m sure you don’t think iron rains from clouds, do you? So using reason we can conclude that for iron “sent down” means it came from space. This is reasonable and in line with science. It doesn’t matter whether it came from a dead star, two dead stars, a million dead stars. Irrelevant thinking on your part. The POINT is that iron is not indigenous to earth. With that we can conclude that no human could have authored the Quran and that it must be what it claims to be....a divine book of guidance from the creator. However, If you today still refuse to accept this truth, then let me just say the following.....you’ve had one full year since your comment.....present to me one piece of work that you have done that will WOW me! Do it....or remain silent about the Quran going forward. You have had the benefit of 20th century education, access to advance scientific tools, technology, and social media. What work have you done since last year that will wow me and everyone else and keep us wowed for 1400 years....NOTHING! you don’t even need to reply. I know you have produced nothing like the Quran. Yet you are content to point your finger at the Quran and laugh. It doesn’t even occur to you the stupidity of what you are claiming....that an unlettered man in the desert could come up with greatest, most read, most studied, most memorised book ever with no errors of any kind.....YOU can’t even come up with ONE verse that people won’t laugh at....not even after 12 months have you produced anything of significance. Do you not THINK? Hopefully you have indeed changed and are wiser. I await your reply

After asking that the issue about the sun to rotate the earth is very well written in the Qur'an , when i started secondary school i was taught different then when i returned home we usually go to madrasa ... i had to ask this (among many other) my Ostadh (maalim,teacher) told me they don't want you to know the truth they just want to go against Islam... i was like OK i will not persue science nor mathematics... i will just stick to other field esp Art subject and I've always regret that decision... now i want to teach myself math and probably trying to understand my planet better ... i come to realize i dont need religion to be a better person and if you think you need it then you're not thinking wisely.... as humans we need to tackle our challenges as unity the way our educational systems are we are so far from being smart... but i don't force anyone to disbelieve but please we shouldn't mix our beliefs with education... after some critical thinking i am now not a muslim but a good person who will never harm anyone anyway (except for some insects who are my real enemies)... now the question is what do i believe . i believe there's some higher forces than US human kind but they doesn't need my prayers or anything they don't even care if i know them or not... so i will leave my best life... Imagine that there is a religion called "the religion of Nature" and that this religion has a holy book called "the book of Roots" and that its followers are estimatef by the billions. this book was written nine hundred years ago in the jungles of Africa. In the folds of this book is a verse that says: «Trees breathe like humans» And another says, «Every tree has a spirit, and each tree hears, sees and feels joy when the children play around it» What if Mr. Carrot (a follower of this religion) came to you and tried to convince you to follow the religion of nature? Saying it is impossible for the primitive African tribes to know that trees breathe, and that modern science has proved that trees actually breathe by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen, similar to how humans breathe, by absorbing oxygen and emitting carbon dioxide, the existence of this scientific information in the book of roots is irrefutable evidence that the religion of nature is one true religion and scientifically proven. But if you take a look at the second verse, it is clear that the author of the book was not thinking about this scientific fact when the verse was written, but gave the trees human qualities due to his attachment to nature, which is to be expected from the religions of primitive tribes, he thinks that the tree has a spirit, sees what is around it and feels happiness when it sees children - which are scientifically incorrect things and he thinks that the tree has a spirit, that it sees what is around it and that it feels happy to see the children - which are scientifically incorrect assumptions. For this reason, it is not surprising that this book believes that trees are breathing - it is a belief that is consistent with its primitive views of trees. But he is very convinced of this scientific miracle. He tries to convince you that you misunderstood the second verse. It is a metaphor. It is not meant that the tree actually sees the children around it and feels happy in the same way that we humans do, but is intended to encourage us to love nature and take care of it !! Another person who follows this religion, Mr. Batiti, tries to do the complete opposite, he makes an attempt to convince you that this second verse is also true! And tries to convince you that there is a western scientist has proved that trees actually see and hear exactly like humans! He tells you that an Australian researcher named Markson Cartman conducted a study on the electromagnetic waves of trees. He found that the trees surrounded by children emit happy electromagnetic waves, while the other trees emit electromagnetic waves do not contain the element of happiness !! If you try to looknup this "study", you will discover that this alleged researcher is not specialized, and that his research is not recognized in the scientific community. Mr. Batiti will assure you that this study is correct, and the lack of recognition of scientific references to this scientist is only a conspiracy to hide the truth! Those responsible for these scientific institutions are involved in a global conspiracy whose goal is to combat the religion of nature, because it is the one true religion! What do you think of Mr. Carrot, Mr. Batiti, the religion of Nature and the book of Roots? You must know, that the advocates of scientific miracles, are no different from Mr. Carrot and Mr. Batiti of this example. This story, though not true, embodies the imbalance in the claims of scientific miracles. The advocates of scientific miracles ignore many verses contradictory to science, and hold on to the word contained in the verse, take it out of context, and add to it nonexistent scientific nonsense.

@Afif people like you,who read science from WhatsApp universities and madarsaas are biggest threat to future,either they will spread pseudoscience or will become terrorist,but just keep sociological point away,at this movement I will do postmortem of your faith with the scalpel of knife. 1st point you raise that science changes,what changes in science hypothesis[A hypothesis is an idea or proposition that can be tested by observations or experiments, about the natural world],what not changes is theory(A scientific theory is an explanation of an aspect of the natural world that can be repeatedly tested and verified in accordance with the scientific method, using accepted protocols of observation, measurement, and evaluation of results.)only fools says WHOLE science changes,religion is constant but reality is vice versa. 2 point-you said earlier it was thought that universe is eternal,now it big bang theory explains that how universe originated.🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️.that what happens when a madarsachaap like you reads science from WhatsApp university. Its not universe is eternal,its HYPOTHESIS of eternal INFLATION of universe,by the way,go on misconception section in Wikipedia of theory big bang it says theory of big bang does not explains the origin of universe it explains the state of universe at that particular time period in past. Point claim by-how religion changes,before 1970s,in Quran it is written that the universe is created in 6000 years,and after 1970s after scientific studies when age of earth was known,your Muslim scholars added a bracket in front of that verse and wrote 6 periods,similar case is of a word interchanged for carpet[-1970s] and ostrich[1970-] egg ,this is how whole religion is changing,that too,forcefully by hypocrite people like zakir naik and Ahmed deebat but not whole science. Lastly-the person whom I admire,whose photo I have used as profile picture quoted that person who believe in God are fool. I would add that person who believes in God is also a traitor,because he use inventions science[phone,computer etc]to criticize science over a blind ideology called religion.

Pointing out that iron came from outside is a weak point in itself - because that same thing applies to a whole bunch of other fundamental elements. If you go back far enough then the elements that first coalesced into the earth all came from the universe, so where do you draw the line here and why? Certainly all of this happened long long before humans existed in any form that we could identify with. This is just grasping for straws (most of these tend to be) - applying a short and ambiguous verse and extrapolating from that something very specific that first your preconceived narrative without a foundation to do so.

Yeah I was sitting there thinking, ummm everything came from space at one point, so why did it only mention iron? Not to mention how it doesn't say it came from space or that it was in the form of meteors. It says "we sent it down", which could simply and more likely imply divine magic. And who is "we" anyway? How many gods does it take to send iron? The christian god struggled with iron too. Those damn iron chariots. Iron is apparently the kryptonite for gods.

I was thinking the same thing... like, there was a point that everything came from space, plus we (as well as Earth itself) technically speaking are in space... we are in space even on Earth, because Earth is in space... The "drawing a line" reminds me of drawing a line between life and non-life (like... are viruses alive? most argue they're not... Prophets before Muhummabd pbuh also could have revealed this information. At any given snap shot point of time from Adam till today the truth is always protected by God such that a truth seeker will always be able to find it and get guidance. This means a truth-seeker located in any part of the world will find guidance at any point in history (50:16. 10:25, 15:9) Quran 10:47 “And every nation had a messenger; so when their messenger came, the matter was decided between them with justice and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.” Quran 14:4 “And We have sent NO Messenger save with the tongue of his people, that he might make all clear to them; then God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise.”. Allah sent Messengers to every nation and He stated that they came one after another, as He says: Quran 23:44 Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation its messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction], and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe. Quran 35:24 “Verily! We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner. And there never was a nation but a warner had passed among them” Allah has named some of those Messengers and told us the stories of some of them, but not of many others. Allah, may He be exalted, says: Quran 4:163-164 “Verily, We have inspired you (O Muhammad SAW) as We inspired Nooh (Noah) and the Prophets after him; We (also) inspired Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Yaqoob (Jacob), and Al-Asbat (the twelve sons of Yaqoob (Jacob)), Iesa (Jesus), Ayub (Job), Yoonus (Jonah), Haroon (Aaron), and Sulaiman (Solomon), and to Dawood (David) We gave the Zaboor (Psalms). And Messengers We have mentioned to you before, and Messengers We have not mentioned to you, - and to Moosa (Moses) Allah spoke directly” Quran 40:78 “And certainly We sent messengers before you: there are some of them that We have mentioned to you and there are others whom We have not mentioned to you” Allah reinforces this concept when he addresses Muhammad Quran13:7 You are only a warner (Muhammad) , and for every people is a guide.

What annoys me is how quickly they jump to the idea of literal references to physical reality, when that clearly wasn't intended. Like saying that "I will grab him by his lying forehead" is an assertion that lying comes from the frontal lobe of the brain. That's absurd. If I say, "I'm going to beat your lyin' ass!", am I asserting that the rectum is the locus of untruthful behavior? No. Or that threatening someone by saying, "I will burn your skin off and then grow it back" is a recognition of pain receptors in the skin. No. It's just an attempt at a creatively horrible threat. Like saying, "I will poke your eyes out and then grow them back so I can poke them out again," the author is clearly NOT trying to say anything about the physical anatomy of the eye. You don't even have to back to find examples of earlier "knowledge"; it's sufficient for me to simply point out that NONE of the passages are intended to convey anything about the real world facts they supposedly predict.

I mean, no matter which one of the abrahamic religions, all of them were written and put into practice in a time, where the vast majority of people were unable to read. Not only that, they are also filled with metaphors and even today nobody agrees on what should be taken literally and what metaphorically. Not to mention that for the information to spread, translations from the original language were inevitable, so even more inaccuracies and meanings lost in translations are inevitable, as well. Idk, seems like a weirdly inefficient way for a god to distribute his most important message among the people.

@@aimanmustafa8589 First of all, the sky isn't a solid barrier. It is made of gases that gradually get thinner going up. Rockets and meteorites pass through it with relative ease. Secondly, when you say "In Islam, sky refers to atmospheric layers", you are doing exactly what I said: trying to make the Quran match with modern scientific knowledge. The term ceiling simply isn't a very good way to describe the atmosphere. Most likely, this term is used to describe the old belief that the earth is surrounded by a solid dome, or covered by a solid dome in the view that the earth is flat. In other words: the use of the term sky matches much better with false, old beliefs, than with modern scientific knowledge. Conclusion : the Quran is wrong when it describes the sky as a ceiling.

The quran refers to atmospheres as the sky and heaven as anything above it. You can go ahead and ask any nonmuslim linguist its true. Here, the focus is on the protective quality of the sky, hence referring it to a ceiling. Dont make people of the past dumb, they knew already that sky isnt some sort of a painted wall, they had mountains rising above the clouds, they knew what sky was.

The Hindu epic you had mentioned, of varahavtar (3rd incarnation of the 10), actually does not reference that universe itself was in waters, but rather simply the earth at the time being (in order of the dashavataras/10 incarnations of Vishnu, land animals had just begun to exist); the translation from Sanskrit to English kind of distorts the idea of the universe or the “bhramanda/loka” with just the earth (Prithvi). Essentially, the varahavatar was an attempt to give reference to the point when complex life (resembling that of a boar) reached to the landmasses. That said, it is just a concept, and it does not claim to be factually evident. The story itself is written as a metaphor about morals, so in the end it really is just up the perception of what one should take from it. Just my 2 cents here, hope it can give room for thought.
@notsevenlight3334
@notsevenlight3334 Жыл бұрын
The hindu legend mentions the earth and the living things in it being sunken in water (Primordial/prevail waters) due to overpopulation. And then later on it is then brought out of the water due to it being rescued by a Hindu God. If you read the start of the article it takes about how Brahama lifts earth from the waters and begins it's creation. While later on in the article it mentions things like how the earth sunk due to the burden of overpopulation implying life was on the earth. Even if not, life's orgin point would still be from water. Due to sequence of events, just like how all life originates from the big bang cause we are here today. Thus meaning, the earth and all the living things from it come from water which is very similar to what the Qur'an states and in fact they both share the same level of scientific description and one claims to be a miracle somehow. Even though it does not claim to be factually evident, a similar concept can easily be seen here so to consider the Quran's claim a miracle seems to be quite interesting, when it is similar to something that is not even asserting to be factually evident. May i ask, why would God provide such a vague verse that's meant to be considered miraculous? God with all his power should have surely been able to produce something better then this? Don't ya think? Anyway you probably will not see this but here is just my thoughts i guess.

As an Arabic speaker I like to inform you that Quran miracle claimers deliberately miss translate or bend words and their meaning to fit their own agenda. Many times, giving words a different modernized meaning that is NOT the traditional meaning it's known for at the time of revelation. Another tactic is not saying the full verse and stop at a point that confirms their agenda but dont continue to show the obvious mistake. A third tactic is not mentioning complete ridiculous verse. I'll comment on some of theso-calledd miracles. 1- that all life is made of water. Here they're miss translating from Arabic. The verse in Arabic says: all living things NEED water. Not is MADE from water. I'm sure mankind realized that tens of thousands of years ago. Civilization existed only around water. 2- Iron from the sky, since islam borrows heavily from Jewish scripture and traditions, it's said there that molten iron is cast by god on those who attempt to rise to the heavens. 3- the sun orbits. He doesn't mention that it also goes to a resting place when it sets, by God's throne. It stays there waiting until God orders it and then rises again. I.e. It's not an orbit. It's more of a half circular motion. Then, he stays resting during the night. Then comes out again. Making it obvious that the author of the Quran didn't know the earth is a sphere. 4- Indeed he doesn't. Many verses in the Quran say the earth is flat. A mistake he ignored. 5- Mountains are pillars that keep the earth stable and prevent it from shaking or moving! Obvious misunderstanding of how mountains form. 6- The idea that in hell god replaces your skin means the Quran knew the pain resptors . There is a miracle?! Really?! Ask any toddler that just touched a hot pot. 7- why didn't he mention the miracle of describing the stages of fetus development? That was a darling for miracle claimer? Because it's full of embarrassing mistakes. 8- the sky is protection? Will he doesn't continue to say that the Quran thinks it's a sealing and that it's a miracle how it doesn't fall on our heads, although there are no pillars holding it in place! A literal sealing! 9- the mistranslation of the word expansion of the universe. True it describes God, not the universe, and the word is misinterpreted. It means in Arabic "able" or "capable." This is how it has always been understood. So god created the sky as he is capable or worthy of that. Not he is expanding it. 10- in Arabic culture, a man's forehead is a symbol of man's honor. To drag or hold from the forehead means to humiliate. God wants to humiliate AboJahil. How petty. God is bickering with a nomad insignificant man living in the 7th century desert of Arabia.

That angelic being is our Holy Prophet. He is the most deserving out of any other being in existence after Allah. You think all that can be read is the facts. You do not realise the Being who created you, amongst his highest is our Prophet. And, Isa is our beloved prophet as well. Your words of hatred mean nothing to me. I do not have to do anything to hurt you. The first message till the last message all entitles submission. From the religion brought down to Baba Adam/Adam (Father of Humanity) and Bibi Hawa/Eve (Mother of Humanity) the message has ALWAYS been the same. The message was and is SUBMISSION. Go look up the meaning of Islam. Islam was invented by the creator from the very first day on this earth. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out. The Qur'an has been tried and altered. It may be electronically altered. It may be physically altered. But, the design of this glorious book is a mathematical equation. It is perfect. There is no book in the world to be compared with the Qur'an. The number of words, number of words per sentence, per paragraph, the sequence of words, the number of letters in each word, everything down to the number of times any word you pick out the glorious Qur'an to see how many times it has been repeated to understand it's importance has been calculated and written.
