I hear that from a lot of long-term Richmond residents. What are some of the biggest changes you've noticed?

Look man - the principal reason people leave Richmond is that all the schools can teach you there are the 3Rs. My wife is from Richmond and moved to the DC area but constantly complained about the DC area when she first got here. . I finally shut her up one day when I explained to her why she moved from Richmond. I told her that I loved Richmond but the principal drawback, especially for younger people, is all the schools can teach you there are the 3 Rs - Reading, Writing, and the Road to Washington - cause there ain't no jobs.

That's a great response!! I've never heard the three R's described that way. I thought everybody was leaving the DMV to come to Richmond! 😉
