We know that park very well. Our friends use it to walk their dog while relaxing in hammocks. I also know where there's a workshop specialized in all kind of three wheeled motorbikes. Thank​ you​ for​ telling​ your​ story on what you've found attractive​ about​ Thailand​ and how it aligns with​ your​ lifestyle. If you are​ planning a road trip, you should definitely​ stop in the​ Kaoyai area in Nakorn Ratchasima Province. It's​ 2 hours northeast of Bangkok, but because you're​ driving​ up plateau and up some more into prairi land on top of a mountain range, the topography, natural beauty, and mild clinate all year round will​ be pleasantly surprising​ to you. Kaoyai is home to the​ Thai Cowboy if there ever was one, milk farms, dairy products production, and beef (still Thailand​'s most famous "Koakune Beef" is much further up in the country to Sakhon Nakorn)​production. I was just visiting Thailand back in December 2023. I was in Hua-Hin for only a week a fairly vacation , when you get up at 4 o’clock in the morning at the temperature 78 degrees and it’s climbing up to 98 degrees at noon.

I too want to possibly move to Thailand for a few reasons affordability, and I just love the culture too especially since most people smile unlike here in the US most people have the grumpy stressed face on. I first came to Hua HIn on my first trip to Thailand in 2002 after just picking it out off the map while in Chiang Mai. I knew absolutely nothing about it but wanted to spend my last week somewhere by the ocean so I bought a ticket and flew here the next day. It was a completely different town then. There was no shopping centres like Market Village or Bluport. It was a small seaside town and I have been coming here ever since. I have lived here most of the last 10 years going back to Canada once or twice a year to see my family. It is all the things you say in your videos. Good choice Lloyd and Mandy

Lloyd and Mandy, you have made me a very jealous man. Thailand is the country I love. I am a farmer, and to leave what i do, and my kids and grandkids. That would break my heart. I will be there in Koh Samui in July. What I really enjoy most of all. Is fishing in Phuket. It is a pity I do not do much of it in Perth. Too many restrictions. The size of the fish and how much you can catch. Whereas when you are fishing in Fremantle either the North Mole or the South Mole. Not far away you can see trawlers going up and down pulling all the fish in their nets. There is a lot of bullshit that happens in Australia.

Best spot until The year 2020. I was staying in Hin for three years and This spot, is the best beach near Hua Hin, when you come down the road, the last spot on the right hand is a nice place with infinity pool that you can use for 200 bed per person per day, including one drink. I think you guys did the right thing by starting your KZbin channel in Bali, got a lot of subscribers, and continued to travel around to experience different places, looking for a great place to live. Bali is great, but from what I’ve seen, is quite expensive now after the pandemic. Plus it’s quite over crowded. I definitely will visit Bali again, because I love the climate. Mandy you look healthier now compared to when you first started the channel. Yoga certainly helps along with helping clear your mind for a peaceful mindset for the rest of the day.

The only problem with being a travel vlogger in Thailand is that it has already been done to death and is oversaturated on KZbin etc. You're going to need to try and find a new angle. And... Glad you are happy and enjoy being in Thailand. Renting car is good option to start but you will also find cheap second hand car/truck as well. Second cars are now also over supply so you will find lots of cheap cars as more people are switching to electric. Some Honda and Toyota car service centers would normally have second hand cars that they guarantee conditions as well.

Put the gps on Waghor Aquarium and just enjoy the view on the way there. Most people would say hua hin is for the retirees, which I can understand. But as a Swedish 29-year-old love the peace and calm Hua hin and the neighbouring places have to offer. You have a ton of nice beaches if you continue following the beach from pranburi. I always take my dog to the beach near a hotel called Minitel by the sea. Around 20 min from Hua hin.

Hey guys - nice video. Glad you've found somewhere to settle. Not to be mean, but you clearly don't qualify for either a LTR visa or a 'Digital Nomad' visa, so have you actually moved to Thailand or are you just here on a tourist visa/exemption or a fake education visa? There are very limited legit visa options for those who wish to live here, and its disingenuous to suggest other wise. If you're over 50 and can deposit the 800k then you're grand, if you want an elite (LTR) visa then you need to invest or have serious cash, and as a 'Digital Nomad' then being self employed won't cut it, you need to work for a firm with 150 million USD for the last 2 years and earn 80k USD per year for the last 2 years to even apply

Hua Hin has an old summer palace "Mrigadayavan Palace". I've been there several time, esthetic. And also don't forget the mountains and waterfalls along the left side of the country. If you have more time, try exploring "Phetchaburi". It's the city near Hua Hin. It's the UNESCO City of Gastronomy and they have a natural park which is a UNESCO World Heritage. Btw, Phetchaburi is going to celebrate their castle on the mountain (Khao Wang) during this 14-23MAR. Let's have some fun with the night market, fireworks and walking up the decorated hills at night.

5:11 There are many places like this in Thailand, We has 77 province and only 5-6 may be 7 of them are tourist spot, many gem spot didn't get much attention from a tourist, Southern not only Phuket Pattaya Krabi has a sea and Northern not only Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai or Pai has a mountain 😄 Example i live in Songkhla one of the biggest province in Southern and we have many places like this as well as the sea and not so much western people come to visit, most tourist here is Local Southern People, Chinese and Malaysian.

I'm currently in vietnam after being inspired by your videos like 2 years ago or something and next week I'm heading to Thailand for the first time. Loving it so far, hopefully Thailand is just as good. However I'm not planning to make a home base in SEA. I will stay in eastern europe which is very simple to just take a plane to and from here (6 hours plane to qatar, a little break and then 4 hours more to Sofia, it's really not a big deal). So I will probably be coming here during the European winter or something.

8:49 Oh boy, you are in for a shock! As a 37 years old Canadian, married to a Thai, who have been living in Thailand for 12 years, visas is absolutely a big downside of Thailand compare to every other countries in the region (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, and so on!). 1) The 6 months tourist visa is a Multi Entry Tourist Visa, which in no way solve the difficulty to stay long term in Thailand. 2) The retirement visa required 800k baht in a bank account, which for a lot of people is a lot of money. 3) Digital nomad visa is not a thing as of now. 4) Elite visa is, as you said, very expensive. 5) Education visa is mostly discontinued and not a long term solution. It is possible to get a 1 year ed visa, but after that you won't get year 2-3, and so on, as there have been massive crackdowns on ed visas in the last few years. People often study Thai, or learn Muay Thai, self-defense, and so on, but realize after a year that they can't add more years. Most end up leaving, and the others use agent (bribery), or get married. The only way for foreigners under 50 years old to stay in Thailand long term is to get married to a Thai. This is, ofc, unless you have a big chunk of saving willing to put into elite visa or to use an agent yearly to get you to stay (for example, on business visa). Unless you are willing to open a business and employed Thai people, this is not a solution.

It’s very cute community, beautiful, peaceful and very easy to accessing back to walking streets where has many kind of food, bar and restaurants. Hi Lloyd and Mandy, welcome to Hua Hin. You have chosen one the most relax beach destinations in Thailand. It's still the high season, but you will see it will be even more relaxed in the coming weeks. Only weekends will be busy. It's also one of the driest climates of Thailand, with not a lot of rain, even in rainy season. It used to be one of the reasons many people liked it here so much, however, it's becoming a little alarming as we definitely need more rain. Anyway, I think you made a great choice, and there's so much to visit here. I'm sure you will enjoy your choice. Have a wonderful time (^_^)

I recommend you stay in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai.Phuket, Phatthalung, Pattaya, Satun Summer in Thailand will give you good health and exercise.Then you will fall in love with Thailand. Thailand has many herbs for cooking and treating people. You will have to learn agriculture. Then you will like to cook, wake up the house, you will love it.But I recommend going to the northern part of Thailand. There may not be a sea, but it's the most pleasant place to live. rainy season and winter

5 months in Thailand last year with our dog and we did not find it dog-friendly. It was hard to find nice accommodations that also allowed dogs. When we did, we paid a premium for a sub-standard place. Also, soy dogs could be aggressive to our small dog, making walks harder. Also, dogs were not allowed in MOST parks in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Hua Hin wasn't bad, and a top spot, but I wouldn't call it "dog-friendly" like Western Europe, or North America.

Looks like a truly beautiful place. Bear looks so happy with you both. Summer here in Tasmania so our Labradors are constantly in the water. The two boys would stay in all day, but Jezz the older girl, just paddles on the edge now. I hope you relax into a different style of living while you commence this new chapter.
