Rui Heng Chua 1) Good running form stops you getting injured, just as Krypto says. 2) Good running form makes you faster - the simplest example is a heel strike puts the brakes on with every stride, but obviously there are lots of other examples. This will not ‘straighten itself out’ - many people run like this their whole lives and never achieve their full potential because of it.

It's basically their childhood and almost only that, not their training, just look at Jakob Ingebrigtsen who ran 9 times a week as a child or Hicham El Guerrouj (13 times a week at 15years old), everyone can be worldclass with the same childhood

Here are the true reasons why Kenyans and Ethiopians dominate long distance running: 1. Kenya and Ethiopia have highlands (high altitude) with thin air so training in these places develop better lung capacity for long distance running. 2. Kenya and Ethiopia are close to the equator and their climate are often hot thus running a marathon in cooler places like in Boston is a breeze to them. 3. They are from a nomadic tribe so they are genetically adapted to move walk/run long distances. 4. They don't eat junk food that is full of sugars and carbs. They are metabolically flexible being able to be fueled by fat (for long distance) and glucose (for sprinting).

Football, Kenyans play Futball everyday during their youth. Man, these kids love to compete and they are not distracted by material things. They cannot afford them. Also, when one is up the escarpment you are 5000'+ above sea level and there are still hills to climb! Northwest Kenya, ideal climate and good clean food.

I was hoping you’d comment on their “fuel”. What do they feed their bodies for energy?
@FullRewardMinistries
@FullRewardMinistries 4 жыл бұрын
Kenyans eat a lot of ugali! A corn maze that is boiled down to a very thick consistentcy and is eaten with a lot of veggies and occasionally meat. As they are so poor they are unable to eat as much animal and meat products as we are. Their lowly processed food that's high in nutrients allows them to stay fueled and healthy!
@mrsyogadoc
@mrsyogadoc 4 жыл бұрын
That is what I thought. That is awesome. I am a “no meat athlete” myself. Eating Whole Foods. That has been proven to be the best “fuel” for our bodies. Thanks for the response. I wish this info was more apparent to most folks.
