I filmed the main tower elevators in El Cortez but sadly the 15 story glass OTIS Hydro has been removed;( Strangest mod I've ever seen on those elevators. MontyKONE with Innovation Universal. Was plain bizarre yet awesome! Still had the original 1920's OTIS clock style hall PIs in the main lobby level.

Where? At the El Cortez? Maybe it was but OTIS kept the elevator going and provided the continual maintenance for the building until KONE modded it and the glass Trav-lo-Vator was ripped out

Elevator Electric sounds right... can't find it now but it was a 3rd party installer of Montgomery. Otis refused to even consider a hydro for that job. The El Cortez is a 1920's bldg. but underwent massive updates in the late 50's when Harry Handlery purchased it. Handlery also built a motel across Ash St. (still there as a Roadway Inn or something last time I was by there)... The Trav-lo-Vator was the moving, elevated, horizontal walkway between the hotel and motel and was built by Otis. My uncle was in his late 20's back then and worked for Elser's. Otis did the automation of the internal cars and built the Trav-lo-Vator but they refused to be any part of that 15 story hydro job.

Installed in the 1970s or 1980s. Nice classic leveling.

This one is from 1972 and probably original to the hotel. Tower ones I believe were US before getting modded by KONE or TK.
