Texas and East Carolina played in game 1 of the Greenville Super Regional in the 2022 College Baseball Season. Super Regionals are a best of 3 series.

Our pitching has been shaky since the UCLA game and it was inevitable that it would catch up to us once we played teams in the tournament that had bats on par with ours and better pitchers. I was a bit surprised Hansen got knocked around like he did, but not at all surprised that the bullpen imploded. We made it this far with fantastic hitting, defense and grit. But it's overshadowed by our pitching. We'll have to hit the transfer portal hard to get some immediate help next season.
