Nine tricks that most people don't know about Minecraft.
1) If you're riding in a minecart, water doesn't cushion you from falling damage
2) You can't drown in lava.
3) Lava protects you from some falling damage, but not all of it
4) You can sleep through bad thunderstorms, even during the day time
5) Falling sand and gravel are considered an entity, and therefore, their path can be altered by things like TNT
6) Using armor with protection and feather falling greatly reduces the damage you take from Ender pearls. Comebine this with an ender pearl farm and you can travel long distances easily
7) You never need to actually build a compass or clock. The icons in the "statistics" menu are fully operational
8) If lava has ever seemed unpredictable to you, here's the physics: When it's placed directly on the ground, it travels 3 blocks. If it flows down onto the ground, it travels 4 blocks. But inside the nether it travels 7 blocks.
9) You can use beds to easily mine in the nether. If you click on the bed directly after taking falling damage, you don't take damage from the explosion... But you probably still want to be wearing armor in case you mess up your timing.
Difficulty - N/A for most. But the sand movement and nether beds can be hard to pull off.
