If you are going to take fifteen minutes in the A/C in the bathroom, *please* don't use the accessible stall with the grab bars (unless you actually do need the grab bars etc). Waiting over a quarter-hour for the *one* stall you can use, while a dozen others stand empty, is miserable and may lead to accidents! Please, take pity on those who have no choice but to wait for that one stall to be available.

I know, right?! I am one of those people who do need the grab bars, and everywhere I go, others just use them because they are larger than the other stalls..... poeple, PLEASE heed this request!

At the parks I just follow along and enjoy my children and grandchildren.

Our last trip we stayed at All Star Music and as soon as we got to the rooms our grandsons wanted to head straight to the pool. Guess who forgot to pack his bathing suit. Grandpa had to go to the gift shop while everybody else went swimming. Also the ride that beats us up and we avoid is Dinosaur. It isn't the sounds and noise, it's the bumps and jostling. As we've gotten older we just can't handle the physical abuse that ride dishes out.

I forgot to pack deodorant on our last trip! It was just me and my 20 year old daughter so we just bought some at the Pop Century gift shop. My tip is that when you pack, start early and pack essentials way ahead of time, like swim diapers and deodorant! As long as you don’t need these things at home before you go and and have a xtra pack them way early.

I avoid the parks from 2-5 pm whenever possible. It is hotter than the face of the sun most months of the year during those hours and I prefer to retreat to my hotel room for a little break. I also avoid roller coasters most of the time (except that I am forced to ride Big Thunder with my son). This leaves more time to ride other rides and makes rope drop more productive. While others are in a mad rush to ride Tower and Rock'n Roller coaster, I can stroll to my first ride and stop for coffee and a pastry.

I recently did a Disney World vacation had a great time there. But when you said that Disney can get hot I one time wore a dark golf shirt made of polyester fabric. This made the heat get trapped in my shirt I almost had to call it the day. But I bought one of those spray mist fans inside the park And it did its job and I made it through. I also tracked how many miles that you will be walking and standing. It is an average of 10 to 15 miles per day. And you stand at least 12 hours possibly more depending on the park hours.

About avoiding rides, think about your phobias. I have a fear of heights and went on Soarin'. Seeing the land, the ocean, or helicopters below me got me more than I thought it would, and when I got off, I seriously had to sit down and let my heart settle down for a bit, then splash some water on my face. I wasn't sick, but I was definitely shook.

December is probably the best month to go to Disney- I have visited at all times of year: Spring Break, Summer, mid-end of September (which I couldn't believe how the everyday temp. was in the mid-90's!) and if you are like me, not a fan of the heat, go bewteen November-January. The Christmas season there is just unsurpassed; after all, it is called The Magic kingdom for a reason; they do it SO WELL!!

I am with you about the planning. With the crowds, lines, lighting lanes, how much you have to walk and money you have just spend for this vacation, you have to plan. Maybe not every second of the time, and not freaking out if things change a bit, but you do have to have a plan of how your day will be. I have gone at least 15 times to Disney and I always plan. Even with that many times visited, your videos have taught me new things and new tips.

Those of us who have routinely stayed at Shades of Green like to say, "It's not a vacation, it's a MISSION!" We may overplan a little bit but I can generally tell you when we'll be in which park to within 30 min, at least a month before we head toward Florida! Of course, no battle plan survives first contact with The Mouse, but we go into a 24 hour planning cycle and recover pretty quickly.

Avoid underestimating the sun's intensity in Orlando. I've lived in Asia and parts of the US that get very hot and humid, so those things don't bother me so much in Orlando. However, the sun is VERY intense in Orlando, and its intensity amplifies the heat and humidity. I highly recommend packing a collapsible umbrella in your park bag. It may seem silly or excessive but, at some point in your park day, you'll need the umbrella's protection just to continue functioning.

I think you should mention in one of your videos that anyone who buys a Magiband/Magiband+ NEEDS to buy one of those band protectors to keep them from falling off. Because they WILL fall off. My family of 4 just came back from our trip and EVERYONE’S fell off. My older sister had lucky gotten hers back from MK’s lost and found and we lucky noticed everyone else’s bands falling on the ground when they did, but please PLEASE advise people to get those protectors. We payed way too much for those bands and I was the only one who kept mine on for the remainder of the trip, just meticulously checking to see it wouldn’t fall off. My other family members kept theirs in their backpacks, which meant they missed out on the interactive stuff included with Magicband+.

If taking a young kid too a ride knowing the kid may be scared at first or how they may react. I do recommend when waiting in line, show them a KZbin video of the ride and show them what is expected of them. So, they know what to expect especially showing the parts the kids may get scared so they may be less triggered by getting scared and build a muscle memory from what they saw from the video. Not only will this be helpful for younger kids, but as well as adults, and older people, especially if one may not feel comfortable about it or may have a medical problem that they may not think about how the ride may affect them. Even if the sign warns people what may be expected, is not as good as seeing a video to fully understand and gain insight into what is on the ride and how will it be fun or not.

Any clue on when to do after hours or the extended hours? I just figured out these are different, have different perks and ways to get them annnndd on different days 😅 basically lost at which route to go since my trip will have a Disney deluxe hotel, but I guess the extended hours doesn’t hit every park in a week, like maybe 2, so apparently we could still want after hours tickets? Idk, I need to hopefully understand the game plan before we go so we aren’t winging it lol (and after hours are not cheap tickets so I also don’t want to buy them if I’m misunderstanding)
@DFBGuide3 ай бұрын
Definitely use those Extended Hours since they come as a perk with the hotel you booked! You may be able to get done everything you want during regular park hours, but if you're a night owl you might want to see if the paid After Hours events line up with your trip.
