Goldberg going off script and almost died after cutting his wrist with the window he smashed with his bare fist.

Real glass, go cry me a river 😂
@tomseville23453 ай бұрын
@@cliffordjackson3 He was given a small metal bar to hold between his fingers, so he could break the real glass (cry me a river) windows with backhands; on I think the second window he smashed, he dropped the bar inside the limo (you see him going inside to look for something or a second); knowing they are filming the skit "as live" without cuts (camera cuts, that is) during the taped Thunder episode, he had to go "screw it" and carry on punching. You see him try three times to smash one window, and then look at his wrist. When he smashes his forearms down on the hood of the white limo, you see the massive dark puddle left behind (they cut to B&W due to the blood ban; the colour red is apparently what makes it bad), and the show ended right after. Goldberg was then absent from WCW TV for around six months, and was in NO position to save the company by then, either, as Russo immediately turned him heel...

The Miss Hancock baby story had one twist that Simon didn't mention. Miss Hancock (Stacy Kiebler) was in an on-screen relationship with David Flair. So naturally, one of the possible candidates to be the father of the baby was none other than Nature Boy Ric Flair, David's father.

Most people: "If I could go back in time, I'd kill/stop Hitler." Me: "If I could go back in time, I'd be torn between saving Owen Hart from doing that spot that killed him OR stopping Chris Candido from fracturing his fibula and tibia." Maybe even save Crash Holly, who suicided on pills and alcohol in a depression after receiving divorce papers, but that was a long-leading problem without knowing the genesis where Hart and Candido were an immediate (Hart) or 4-day (Candido) avoidable death.

Man that Finger Poke of Doom was my last time watching WCW outside of occasional channel switching during Raw commercials. At the time, I spent over a year wanting Nash to beat Hogan in a Wolfpac vs Black/white match. We wanted Scott Hall to finally reunite with Nash. Before the finger poke, I was jumping up and down in my living room when hall came out in red and black. I was ready. Then...Finger poke. I was gone after that. The war ended on January 4, 1999.

Ok to be fair to WCW, I've never heard any accuse WCW of attacking JR's bell's palsy. It was always Ed Ferrara and Vince Russo being the ones who thought it was funny and necessary to do so. From what I heard about the Final Soution name is that Kevin Sullivan came up with it and was using an old time territory trick to just get heat on Mr. Swenson. He named he that b/c he just wanted fans to HATE him as a heel. On Tuesday, Eric Bischoff brought Kevin Sullivan into his office and told him that Jeep can't be called that and they were gonna have to change his name. By Sunday and the air time of Uncensored, he was the Ultimate Solution. To be honest this makes him sound like a giant math problem but is a less problematic name than his other one.

Shock TV was just a fancy 'sport entertainmenty' way of saying hot shot booking. The Fingerpoke could have worked out, at another time, with better booking and execution. Leading fans to WWF on the night did them no favours. That maybe Mick Foley's greatest accomplishment. And maybe the This Is Your Life segment.
@My198120113 ай бұрын
You could pretty much just say from January 1999 onwards for this list, the end of coherent TV was SuperBrawl in 1998 and the last big high was Goldberg winning the title but then it was a slow decline from there through to falling like a lead weight from January 1999 onwards

So I ran across this video earlier today and it had a different thumbnail (David Flair and Miss Hancock and either Torrie or Tylene.) Is there a KZbin thing where multiple thumbnails can be shown for the same video at different times, or does this mean WC changed their mind about the thumbnail they used, so they pulled it and re-uploaded?
