You could always swap the fabric if you are using a kit!

@catkinandlillie im bad at estimating the size.. sometimes i get aida 14.. and want aida 11, so when i get to the store, they ask me what size do i need.. and i got the wrong size.. so i never did it again.. im going to keep trying tho..

Thank you! I just picked out a temperature tracking pattern based on the Milky Way. It’s going to be interesting but I think as long as I get this done one day at a time I should be good.

I bought a HAED design that is almost 50% black background. So I'm thinking about using a black fabric instead

Yep, black is certainly not the easiest but it does give such a lovely result...it will be worth it! And I hope my tips helped as well 😄
