I actually have watched all your FSSO's video's from begin until the end. I think it was good information can you please also explain DC Agent connectivty?

I think it's because Sally's PC is off vs Bill just being logged off. I wonder what happens when a user just puts their machine to hibernate/sleep overnight (maybe even bring their laptop home) and then come back the next day. I've seen where users have come in and been unable to browse because they haven't authenticated to the DC, after hibernating overnight.

Yeah, it all has to do with how Windows DC does its SSO. Kerberos uses a Ticket Granting Ticket System and they are by default good for a whole 8 hours. This could be different from the timers on the FortiGate. I haven't looked too much into it but you can always stack Active and Passive Auth. together as a backup. The worse that will happen is that users get a login screen when the FortiGate can't passively find a user. Thanks for the feedback!

Because I only teach, I usually reach out to those who are in my class to ask their opinion about certain solutions like FSSO and overall it works for most but it does have it's hiccups. I really don't know anything that has changed on its functionality since the last time I recorded it.
