In story number 3 if the girl was a Jane doe that was never identified then how did they know about the girls boyfriend and the boyfriends name???
@The_True_Boo_Radley17 күн бұрын
I think it likely the author of this piece figured they had to have the victim be a Jane Doe because in the age of search engines - and with an actual name of a victim - we’d be able to quickly find out there was no such crime. Unfortunately for them they failed to edit out or rework the “local, well-known” boyfriend plot point in the process.

The stories about the man who got mauled by a dog and the elderly man who got attacked by a group of teenagers really didn't surprise me. Not because of the attacks but because everyone just stood idly by while they happened. They say they were too scared or didn't want to get involved, no they were just cowards. They are lucky that neither died. And I really hope Karma pays those teenagers a visit one of these days. They were just sick. And I have to say, people who don't want to get involved but are there when the attack happens, you are already involved by just being there and seeing it all happen.

Mob mentality, the more people that are around, the less likely anyone will help. This is because eavh person believes that someone else will jump in to save the person or call 9-1-1. It is actually better to only have 1-3 witnesses because there is a perceived assumption no one else will help. It is a very real phenomenon, (may not be the correct term or name) it has been more than a decade since I took psychology and sociology. This issue is compounded by the fact that everyone has a cell phine with the ability to record events and want to post the next most viral video.

My mother loved going to yard sales (kind of a sick obsession with her). When I was a kid, she'd sometimes drag me along. Sometimes we'd find some neat stuff that even I liked. All and all though, she knew it was NOT my cup of tea. On a side street not far from our house (I don't even remember the street name now as that was 40 years ago when I was 14) there was a yard sale going on. It was summer I think and I was out of school, so I went shopping with my mom. On the way home I think we saw the sign for the yard sale. Mom dragged me along. Now USUALLY if something spooked me when we went somewhere, she kind of told me 'Oh get over it' and didn't take me seriously. We pulled up into the yard and there were tables with clothing, books and other items. When I approached the house, I looked over at my mom and said 'mom, there is something wrong here and I don't like this place.' Looking at the house for some reason gave me a very uneasy feeling. It was like some psychic moment, I don't know. Surprisingly enough, she kindly said 'alright' and we got in the car and left. That one time, she didn't get frustrated with me and she actually honored my wish to leave that yard. There was something at that house, that I had never been to before that spooked me. Later I asked her about it and she told me 'yes, I felt uncomfortable there too' instead of ridiculing me for it.

The story of the murdered Liz I remember that murder. The person who shot her had drove around the neighborhood a couple of times before shooting her as if checking her out. She was just setting up the yard sale when the person walked up to her. The camera showed her greeting that person but it didn't look like she recognized them. The person just then walked right up to her and shot. If I remember correctly she was having the yard sale to get Xtra money so that she and her husband could go to a Star Wars convention. They were huge fans and collectors. What made the murder so strange was the fact there wasn't any reason found for it. Nothing was stolen and the police had no suspects except the possibility her husband may have been behind it but no proof of it. I didn't remember the fact she was that young tho. For some reason I thought she was older.

This is oddly funny but once my daughter and I had stopped at a yard sale this much older woman was having. The house was in an upscale neighborhood so the sale looked promising. She was nicely dressed and looked to be in her 80s. Her daughter, looked like in her 60s, was there carrying out the mothers boxes from her mother's house and helping laying the items out. I guess the mother was downsizing. She asked her mother where did she want the box of the old purses? That peaked my interest so I went over after they were set out and looked them over buying a couple. Later that evening I was going over my yard sale treasures and looking at one purse I opened it up. Inside was a large assortment of adults sex toys. I sure didn't expect that!! (Other purse was empty.) I thought well maybe she hadn't used in a long time and just forgot about them in that purse?? There were about 8 different types of toys including the vibrator and the standard rubber penis. Needless to say without touching them I tossed the whole lot into the trash lol. That was something I sure didn't expect I would find at her yard sale!!!! Lol!!! 😂

I can't remember exactly what year, but they arrested David the husband and it went to trial But they didn't have any evidence or anything with his DNA on it so the jury found him not guilty.
