What would be the bast way to travel internationally, if budget is not an option, alone as a couple or in a tour group? I'm not into the Contiki vibe, and would not want to be tied to someone else's schedule. But i'm afraid of going into it with no knowledge of travelling abroad. We also not into the party vide, so it's food and adventure and cultural experience :) :) :) It's my husband and my FIRST international trip ever. We want to do Europe (as its the most expensive destination so we want to do it before kids come along). Loved this video!!!!

I was under the impression that it was - however it seems that it is now R1000 as per the website? Either way, I'd still use STA, just wanted some clarity on that.

It depends on the flight, time of year etc. Sometimes it's R250, sometimes it's R500, sometimes R1000. It can vary, but it's never more than R1000

Not all visas are expensive. If you go to Cairo or Turkey you can buy a visa at their airport and will cost between 20-30 dollars. So check how much their visas cost..Countries with high economy will have higher costs for their visa..

Yes per night! You definitely can get cheaper though, and you can also pay more for worse places that maybe just belong to a big hotel group, so you would pay for their reputation more than the hospitality. It depends on a lot of things like location, time of year, how long in advance you book etc. I find boutique hotels are often the best in terms of both the hospitality and service, and also the price!
