This went a little longer than I had expected BUT I had to share wt I learned today which was far more than I thought. I also got my podcast pieces recorded for the week. Realizing that mental illness plays into a whole lot of things, places, and events, still in a "learning" phase over it.
I am working on a nonprofit connecting with the ministry of @terrisavellefoy an outreach ministry to women. I have read almost all of her books. I even have one autographed.
I have been really getting into @SarahJakesRoberts works. I got her book "Women Evolve" and she has a ministry through this that helps women to find themselves in everyday living. I was reading this book while waiting for "Power Moves" to hit the shelf. While I was reading this I was finishing "Live your Dreams". Nothing like two different books at the same time, but I was excited for the new book and the Dreams book is a 90-day devotional. Needless to say, I am almost done with all of these books and have grown from them.
Then to add reading books by @jonathancahn.official I preordered "The Dragon's Prophecy" with the anticipation of finishing "Power Moves". Ha, yeah, right, I am still working on it and already more than halfway through it. Of course, I am now almost done with Power Moves too!
I just learned about @DailyHopeRickWarren and "The Purpose Driven Life". His works resonate really well with what I am feeling led to do. My mom has challenged me to read this book. While on my list is to read "The Josiah Manifesto" by @jonathancahn.official because my mom ordered it, started to read it, but couldn't finish stating 'I see it unfolding before my eyes in daily life now." Uh, yeah, he sort of states something like that in his interviews. So, she has asked me to read that one too!
If you noticed, I have mentioned women first, then the men. There are two reasons. One is because I started their books first. Second is they fit the kind of woman I desire to work with and help her to grow in herself.
However, after my mom added about Rick's son bout with mental illness, granted a guy, I felt the need to open my heart and mind allowing guidance to what is. Reading Rabi Jonathan Cahn books has really helped me to understand what I read as a child and really did NOT understand, he is able to help me articulate and translate, process and grow because of it. I was ready to throw in the towel as a child but the Neighborhood Church and @Pastor Gary Randall with his team were able to pick me up from the rubble and show me the stairway. His daughter @michellerandall3593 had no idea the impact she and her family would bring upon this lost girl who was ready to take her own life.
I was a bookworm as a child, and I am finding myself going back to being this little girl again being welcomed to sprout wings and grow!
