Jorge: "I'm not the father so I never really bothered to look into it" Translation: I might be the father, but I didn't care to find out or seek confirmation because that would tie me down for fatherhood and child support.

Oddly enough, I could imagine Jorge buying a few gifts for a child that isn't his, just to keep things smooth between himself and a former girlfriend. Jorge does not like confrontation. Not to say he isn't lying, he certainly could be, but I could see it. Still, I would think 10 years would have been long enough for the mom to seek a court order for a DNA test at some point, even if her life isn't the easiest.

i mean, she said she didn't want money, so why would she want it court ordered? she'd want a father who actually wants to find out if he is a father, uk

I've been going back watching some of your older videos and just so you know, your hair style has gotten better and better. It's on point here! Also, I feel bad for both Jorge and Anfisa. I think they both wanted safety and love but they just didn't know the path to get there. I actually see that in all these couples so much more since I've been watching your vids.

Even though I love how empathetic and non-judgmental Dr. Honda can be-there are a few things at the end he got wrong that I need to point out. Firstly-though I agree that marijuana should be legalized-Jorge was specifically traveling to Arizona and other areas where it was NOT legal in order to make more $$$ than he would in California where it was-thus he was choosing illegal trades over legal trades to make higher profit margins. Second, while Anfisa may be temperamental-she is not a liar and Jorge most certainly is and she claims that she never said the line about "wishing him to get 12 years in prison" which I believe her over him. Lastly-Jorge had numerous chances to take the DNA test for his daughter and repeatedly came up with random excuses to back out of it showing that he does have something to hide here and he lied about this ex-girlfriend already numerous times claiming that he didn't know her at first and then admitting that he did and saying that she just wanted $$$ out of him when it's clear that he never gave her a dime of support.

This segment is sooo cringe (referring to the part around the suspected fatherhood). I don’t remember any of this from the show. Jorge is something else. The fact that he has this kind of past and wants to broadcast his life on national television must say something about him… I really appreciate Dr H’s insight and speculation of tbh so entire series. It colors in my conception of Jorge and Anfisa so much compared to when I watched this years ago.

Giving up his freedom for love? The hell is he blaming this on Anfisa. He's dealing weed to make up for his lie about his wealth which put Anfisa in an insecure state in USA. Imagine being sponsored by someone who cant afford it and is not careful about their "business" operation. Might as well enter the country on her own instead of being attached to a huge liability.

Can I point out how weird it is for a guy to "joke" that he's a child's father (and ps - as a mom to a Toddler, I wouldn't allow ANYONE who's not my son's father to "joke" he's the dad. That's weird).

Watching Dr. Honda work through the reinterpretation of past events when finding out Jorge was involved in criminal activities…there’s a sweet little cinnamon bun moment for Dr. Honda.
@kjgaia

FYI, the decriminalization of marijuana is on a state by state basis and is absolutely still illegal according to the federal government. Jorge would have likely been in a much better legal situation if it had been a smaller (personal use) quantity or if it had been discovered in a state with more lenient marijuana laws than Arizona. In a state where possession with intent to distrubute marijuana is still illegal, it would be particularly bad, and depending on his situation could be both a State and Federal crime, as ridiculous as that may be. They may address this further on the show, I don't know Jorge's particular situation at all just wanted to point that out.

Speaking of customer service and antisocial ... does anyone know if he has done anything on Karens? I work in customer service and it gets wild. One customer threw part of their garbage in my face and told me I was stupid and that's why I worked at Starbucks simply after I just asked if they wanted a cup insert. I don't work at Starbucks anymore, but I work retail and it's still wild. Usually they're middle aged white/ maybe a little older women. I am fascinated. I try not to let it get to me, but I really want to know HOW THEY WERE MADE?! because I could never.

Seems pretty obvious why he wouldn’t do the DNA test. If he legitimates paternity he’s legally required to pay child support. He acts like an idiot but that doesn’t mean he is one.

11:55 This is a major part of what I've learned from legitimate body language experts, too. Whether someone is possibly lying has to do with their baseline (are they deviating from it) but also numerous behavioural, verbal and body language characteristics that generally relate to lying. I know you are not a fan of BL but if I were you, I would give a chance to BL experts such as The Behavioral Panel or The Behavioral Arts 😊Of course no one can be a 100 % sure about whether someone is lying but there are fascinating ways to make an estimation 😊
@RedBunni1024
@RedBunni1024 Жыл бұрын
I agree! Seems to be a lot of click-baity nonsense out there about body language but I love The Behavior Panel. They all seem to have extensive knowledge and training backed up by studies and science in the field of body language. And of course you have to baseline first.

Hay Doc - wondering how it would go to analyze someone’s situation from mark Laitas soft white underbelly. Have to be sure of course you could do with no harm / got u on that. What I see everyday when I watch his next interview is that despite being on skid row and often at least fentanyl and or meth, so many people are so natural and cognizant seeming of what drives them, what has influenced them to n life, on and on. If not analyze a person, I would probably be even more interested in analysis of how ml’s interview style and formatt - plus even off camera events maybe - create a space where ppl can talk so openly and intelligently about themselves and their lives. Maybe compare the standard therapy model with ml’s video format. Realize he is art n informative not therapy. But there’s something here he’s doing that feels real good to me. What do u think?? Will tune in on next qna n see if i hear back. You’re show over the years has been insightful and good company, also given more idea of how a psychologist thinks n acts in therapeutic situation. Great work! Best to you, rock on, your friend, amy matthews

Are we differentiating between the lies Jorge tells to avoid being abused from the other lies? Cuz to me their different, lying to go visit your family because your parent won’t let you or refuses for you to go otherwise they become unhinged isn’t isn’t comparable to the others.
@baintreachas
@baintreachas Жыл бұрын
maybe morally, but psychologically they can (obviously not always) function along similar lines. not that you shouldn't lie under abuse or that there's any right or wrong reaction to abuse (besides lashin out to third parties or something, of course) but it does say something that certain people will lie to their abuser where others would over apologetically tell the truth, others will actually obey them, others will openly defy, etc etc... in this case, he clearly has an overall pattern of lying, and we don't have enough context to know exactly when he's been abused and when not
