I only gained 25 lbs during my pregnancy and dropped it within a few weeks of giving birth, but I was already a bigger/heavyset woman when I got pregnant, so I looked exactly the same after I lost the baby weight as I did before I got pregnant.🤷🏻‍♀️

According to modern day scientific studies, ingesting the placenta doesn't have any actual health benefits. It does have iron and B12, but you can easily find those vitamins/nutrients in many different foods, or you can just take a supplement. I understand the reasoning behind eating the placenta when there was a food shortage though. That's pretty smart. But in first world countries today, eating it is just a stupid trend that new moms buy into even though it serves no actual purpose. It simply has a placebo effect.
