I wish I had seen this when I was in cdl school. I looked through many videos and not very many people slow down and explain in that much detail.. especially getting out of the truck several times and using two cameras. It also helped that you showed us how to do it in a smaller space, imagining there are more trailers on the blindside for teaching purposes... rather than using all the space. The tracks in the snow are useful too. :) Well done!

That's not a 90, it's a 45. You do a 90 when you have less room then that. You also don't need to ally dock with your tamdens all the way back. You can move them once you have it lined up straight, so it's a worthless video.

Do what makes you comfortable, get out and look if need be. Keep it tight on sight side, no worries on swing of trailer on blind side.

If you wanted to learn how to do a 45 yeah that's a good video but as the video eludes to that is not a 90° back he didn't put his truck and trailer at a 90° to each other that's how you determine if it's a 90 or a 45 his was clearly a 45° back. The way you know that is he didn't run parallel and pull straight forward next to the trailers next to him and turn it from that position he pulled out away from the trailers and then angled it in that is by its very definition of 45.

Scott Seufert you can get just as close with tandems forward... Tandems rear will make you run out of room in front of your truck in tighter areas. Even if a place makes you slide tandems when you enter, you can slide them forward after you're in. It may sound like extra work but it literally takes seconds if your slide isn't rusted to shit.

I barely started driving a UTR about 2 months ago for only about 2 hours a day, when I first started, I was clueless, the container would swing the opposite of the way I was trying to make it go and just when I think I’m backing it up correctly, I look to me other side and I’m looking at the other side of the trailer, it was very frustrating and made me so mad at times but I kept at it, but one day (with a little advice from some of the drivers) it just clicked in my head how to stay in front of it and put it where it needed to be, and I got the biggest grin when I got the hang of it, now I am much faster at it and I challenge myself whenever I can to try and fit into a tight spot to gain the experience, it’s such a satisfying feeling

Nearly ANY company is better than Swift. Their training is terrible, the pay is laughable and they aren't known for treating employees well.

@@crx122 Lol you act like driving for SWIFT is the end of the world when it could be alot worse. He could be driving for CRE, CRST, or Welfare Express 😂😂
