I'm 68 years old and truly have no real deep affection. Not physically abused but parents just did not have the emotional part. Welled cared for, clothes, food, shelter, schooling, fun playing in the streets. 10 children 3 from one side & 7 from another side. Different fathers. I made it out pretty good. Just wish a companion will find me. Lonely with no children, no significant other, just doing the will of God. Don't ever give up!!!

It's unfortunate that the filmaker changed the real story. We don't feel any hope and in the real story, there is hope and the ending is beautiful. We are left with a bitter taste in our hearts and yet, we would have liked to see the transformation of Scott who was able to become happy despite the abuse he experienced as a child. This movie could have been great !

The movie tells so many interplays that abuse carry,s with it with .each character’s life. If it gets one thinking possibly it was successful

Dont know how long ago it was, but hope you've been able to talk about it all with a good someone in your life.. talk talk talk..bringing all out of the darkness into the light. It's so ugly awful..I just hope you know it's wasn't you. Look how Scotty turned out because of his bitterness..a mean man & a bully too. He didn't deserve you in his life & you dont deserve to let the person he was affect you anymore..but maybe it doesn't?? Or may be its only seeing things like this that remind you. But if anyone who is affected by stuff like this..forgiveness is the answer. It cuts the oppressive ties that binds & stops that persons actions having power over you. I needed help & had wonderful aunt who gave me much of her time to listen & then guide me to Lord Jesus help to forgive as I came to know His forgiveness. Anyway..I just felt sad when I read your little comment even though you were just stating a fact. Just the way you saud step human says alot though!🥺 Maybe you could share here if you never have anywhere else?? Otherwise..tell me to hush!

All the was to almost the end and it cuts off. I tried several times but it ends when the officer son questioned the 'father' asking if he loved her. He says "yes, I loved you all" and the movie cuts off. That's so cruel.😢

Nothing happened. Tommy walked away as the step-dad yelled, "i love you, son." Tommy got in his car and drove away. What I don't get is what happened to Scott? They never said or I missed it. It did lead to believe Scott killed himself as Scott said to him, "you sound like I'm never going to see you again." Sad but great movie.

Truly a heart wrenching movie! Somebody please give a thorough write up on its story line...the last dialogue between the stepfather & police son.... they literally lived their roles and that old man,however bad he was in the past, simply broke my heart into pieces at the end - love & respects from india🌷
