We lose service on phone but the voyager 1 space craft dont.... and John name being 4000 years old couldn't be true in the English lettering (J/ohn) cause the letter j didn't exist until AD. time
@SciFactsInfo
@SciFactsInfo 5 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this topic! It's true that our phones often lose service because they rely on nearby cell towers, which can be blocked by buildings or other obstacles, or be out of range in remote areas. Voyager 1, on the other hand, communicates using a powerful radio antenna and the Deep Space Network, which has large antennas located around the world specifically for communicating with distant spacecraft. As for the name "John," you're correct that the letter "J" didn't exist in its current form until around the 16th century. In ancient times, the name "John" would have been written in other alphabets and scripts, such as "Ioannes" in Greek or "Yohanan" in Hebrew.

Decibels are not an absolute measure like meters or grams. Decibels are a ratio of power levels and are only meaningful with a reference power level. Saying something is 3 db is meaningless. However, if a given power level is 3 db higher than a reference power level, then that power level is approximately twice the reference power level. If someone asked you how much wine you wanted and you answered twice as much, the person offering the wine would need to know your reference point -- twice as much as what? And that's how it is with decibels.
@SciFactsInfo
@SciFactsInfo 5 ай бұрын
Decibels and wine, are a perfect pairing for explaining ratios. Decibels are indeed a relative measurement used to compare power levels, and they require a reference point to be meaningful. Thanks for breaking it down in a relatable way!

I hate to disagree with such a poetic robot but "t rex evolving into a chicken" is far from a fact
@SciFactsInfo
@SciFactsInfo 4 ай бұрын
I appreciate you bringing this up! It's important to be accurate with scientific information. The statement about T-Rex and chickens was meant to be a simplified explanation of their evolutionary relationship. Although T-Rex did not directly evolve into a chicken, they do have a common ancestor from millions of years ago. It is interesting to note that birds are the closest living relatives of dinosaurs. Hope that was helpful !!

Imagine a world where a thing is true, just because you say so... There has never been a probe or anything sent to Neptune.
@SciFactsInfo
@SciFactsInfo 5 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your perspective ! However, in our actual world, probes have indeed been sent to Neptune. in fact, NASA's Voyager 2 spacecraft flew by Neptune in 1989 providing us with a wealth of information about the planet. It's fascinating to consider how different our knowledge would be if statements alone could shape reality! Factual information and evidence play a crucial role in determining the truth of a statement.

The letter j was made up with the English language there was no j in the alphabet it was y and another letter to make up the j sounds
@SciFactsInfo
@SciFactsInfo Ай бұрын
True !! There was no separate "j" in earlier alphabets, but it evolved from earlier letters. In medieval Latin, the letter "j" originated from the letter "i" and was used to represent a distinct sound. This development allowed for a more precise representation of sounds in English and other languages.

How did T-Rex grow feathers to become chicken
@SciFactsInfo
@SciFactsInfo 4 ай бұрын
The evolutionary theory that birds, including chickens, are descendants of dinosaurs such as the T-Rex is widely accepted in the scientific community. Fossil evidence, comparative anatomy, and genetic studies support the idea that birds evolved from theropod dinosaurs, like the T-Rex. While it is not a statement of absolute certainty (as science is always open to new evidence and interpretations) it is a well-supported and widely accepted theory based on the available evidence.

Ötzi is NOT pronounced as ahtzi! There is a REASON for the German umlaut (the two dots commonly found above the a, o, and u). It is a modern contraction of ae, oe, and ue. These are diphthongs, where two or more letters mostly vowels have an independent sound. It has been rather unfortunate that I have noticed that 99% of KZbinrs or uploaders IGNORE the rules of pronunciation for non-English words or names! This as if English solely has a code of pronunciation and all other 2'999 languages don't! That is ARROGANCE! The German umlauted a (ä) has a flat sound of an e )a in English (ai). the ö is like an ei sound with lip rounding or like the French eu. (In German the eu and äu has the 'oi' sound. Like doitshlahnt or the country name Deutschland. It's hard for English speakers to pronounce the ö and ü sound as with the ch as well like the transliteration of Arabic kh. (x) or kha. Khartoum, is NOT kartom, but a hard h KHartoum! Granted one has to HEAR these sounds to appreciate them. However to actually USE these sounds makes one come off as a better educated person! Too speak a foreign language with the American English rules of pronunciation is RUDE and makes one look like a moron! Vielen Dank!

Thank you for the detailed explanation of the correct pronunciation of Ötzi. I appreciate your insights on the nuances of pronunciation in different languages. And the importance of understanding and using the German umlauts and diphthongs. Your explanation was very helpful in understanding the importance of correctly pronouncing non-English words. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
