I would want to think, the reason NHRA doesn't let the faster Fuel bikes in their shows, is because H-D is probably keeping a a hefty amount of funding going in to the NHRA program and those V-Twins are nice and fast but not this Fast

NHRA has money flowing into the coffers from Harley Davidson so their bikes get featured. Even in Pro/Stock i'm sure you know the inliners get weight added and smaller engine capacity in an effort to keep the VTwins competitive. The exposure of running more than just the U.S. Nationals would be great but to be at the mercy of NHRA and the sometimes frequent rule "adjustments" can result in a negative economic impact for these Top Fuelers keeping their bikes class legal. I would want no part in chasing rainbows in an expensive focus on adjusting the bikes to stay legal. NHRA would have to have no illusions about trying to keep VTwins on an even playing field with these monsters. It would really suck knowing the innovation was taking a back seat to efforts to maintain class parity. Also, i think these types of bikes get more recognition in Europe and down under where they are not so over shadowed by strong T/F car fields and teams from a number of countries make the big meets where they run in conjunction with cars.

If they brought Vantine and McBride into the NHRA again, all the Harley jocks would be in the pits cryin in their mommas boozum cause they can't compete with true icons of the sport. When you have a corporation like harley that doesn't cater to the bikes but in merchandising and advertising, only the machinists and gurus have a chance to be competitive. Wait a second, one of the best harley brandrd motors is built by whom? Vrod motor isn't even a Harley made product. Pretty sad. I sold my Harley and went back to my japanese roots cause i don't by into the Harley fakery. Cheers.
