I don' think this culture change happened due to Symond's harsh works Some people suggested that it happened because of the influence of Virat Kohli I don't think that's true either, Virat might've motivated some people but not all, because if he was the sole motivator for people getting fit in indian cricket his influence might have been localised to few players who were around him and not as wide as every cricketer being fit. This change was due demands of the modern game as if you are not fit you literally cannot play the 3 formats. Plus our culture also evolved as more people are into fitness than ever before. When he said If Indian focus on hard training for being Fitter, Stronger, more aggressive they can dominate the World Cricket, I got goosebumps, bcz he was Right. And that was the exact difference between that era of Indian team & Australian teams. Well the Aggression started by Ganguly, and then What MSD & Virat brought as the strict Fitness culture & to top it, the Aggressiveness of Kohli- and we witnessed that we were No.1 Test Team for 5 Yrs straight & also in Top Spots in White ball cricket as well. He was right, the aggression, that attitude was required which was missing in some players..
@aryavart2962 жыл бұрын
I think aggression and fitness goes hand in hand, when you are fit aggression comes naturally. This fact is even backed up by science, excercise increases the flow of testosterone in the body which leads to aggression, and you can't fake aggression.I don't think aggression was started with Ganguly, Ganguly had an attitude of not taking shit from anyone, which the earlier captains with due respect lacked. Dhoni was and still is a great tactician plus also had a knack of extracting great performances from players on a big match day. I can't really say that Virat brought fitness aspect to indian cricket, he might've motivated some people with his Instagram, because if he was the sole motivator for people getting fit in indian cricket his influence might have been localised to few players who were around him and not as wide as every cricketer being fit. This change was due demands of the modern game as if you are not fit you literally cannot play the 3 formats. Plus our culture also evolved as more people are into fitness than ever before.

maa ki is NOT racist, which was the allegation at the point. Roy was the only non-white player in the Aussie side, so him being called a monkey was a racist comment. Maa ki and other similar slangs in other languages are usual on the field, I don't know what is the ICC protocol about it.

@@sagarverma1489 You are talking from an ICC rules point of view. I am talking about words that a person of high stature doesn't use. Many people hate Kohli despite his skills simply because he swears. I know the Australians aren't saints, but we shouldn't be like them.

he was probably the most unique player australia had, his batting technique was unorthodox but he had raw power so when he hit the ball it stayed hit and he was quite handy with the ball too but his fielding was top notch he was so good on hitting the stumps when he was fielding i still remember that robin uthappa run out in 2007 t20 wc, that was pure gem, we all will miss him, RIP Symonds!

When Symonds Batting, Indian fans used to think destruction started.. sometimes Indian bowlers used to take early wickets and was in state of complacent then comes under the Symonds and destruction starts and ends only in final overs... When bowling, medium pace, spin, taje wickets

I'm here because simply liking the video couldn't make it enough for me to thank you.. Real good work. Superb player, terrorised Indian fans whenever he came on to the crease. He made my teen years thrilling😅. Can't believe he's no more now. RIP champ🙏

We don't have any player like him in modern cricket like his stature.. his presence was enough to create awe among opposite teams.. Cricket means game..He was excellent in all aspects..batting. bowling..fielding...

Its not just Symonds , most Australians they don't hold back, they just speak the truth or whatever they feel like right on your face even if you don't like it.

Yes,but when he called Harbhajan a Fuck with without provocation, and then got it back...it ended his career..so basically a mentally weak character.

Which is why Australia as a country is not a superpower or ANY KIND of a power - they get kicked around by USA & China at the same time. Not having full control on your tongue & emotions is a sign of a weak political mind.

Australians DON'T speak the truth. Instead, they speak out of entitlement. There is a huge difference.

Monkeygate exposed Sachin's complete lack of character and morals, he lied to protect Singh rather than tell the truth.

It’s a local punjabi slang, even if he wants to call him monkey he won’t call it in English rather than he would call him tha in his local language

may he found more peace in Heaven, as a Kid I used to keenly watch him playing...either "Monkey" or "Maa ki" it is clearly Bhajji's Mistake...hope we Indians corrected our mistake by giving last cricketing memories in life.

Yes, a very vital point made, the lazier and complacent one gets, the lesser their consistency gets..................but whats more elusive is the fact that HE STOOD TALL DURING HIS STRUGGLE...................AND HE CHOSE TO RESIST AND FIGHT WITH DIGNITY, HE FACED IT, HE WAS THERE, HIS TALENT WAS TOO BIG ENOUGH TO ENDURE IT AND MAKE IT OUT ALIVE, AMIDST THAT CHAOS............NOW THATS LOVE FOR THE SPORT, which is lacking in our country players, because of their respective fat pay checks............not that you guys dont deserve it, its just that you HAVE TO PROVE THAT YOU DESERVE IT on the field tooooo......................its time they wake up to their CRITICS instead of their FANS or ENDORSEMENTS or ENTERTAINMENTS..................its time they wake up TO THEIR GYMMINGS or TEAM-BONDING SESSIONS or LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST, THEIR DRIVE TO PLAY AND FINALLY THAT PERENNIAL QUESTION WHICH IS.......................WHAT AM I DOING (when not performing) & WHAT ELSE CAN I DO ( when performing)............wake up guys, before you lose all your adulation, half of which YOU PEOPLE DONT DESERVE!!!!

Andrew Symonds definitely was a bit flawed. Symonds and australians were used to abuse even worse to the other teams players than what Harbhajan did to him . But when it came to himself he himself couldn't endure it But one thing is for sure that his talent and love for cricket cannot be denied. RIP Andrew Symonds A Legend

He deserves everything. I don't a lot about him but it makes me understand how a politics works inside and outside. Specifically in Australia its just bad. We also see the Don Bradman era this things needs to stop for the sake of healthy sports❤

Harbhajan said "Maa ki" not monkey. "Maa ki" means, "your mother". I don't think Harbhajan knew enough English and the awareness to even know that the word Monkey was a racial slur.
