There is a book written by a swedish psychologist ”quit worrying and ruminating” by Olle Wadström. He is advocating the exact same technique to stop worrying. Accept what might happen and accept the anxeity and negative feelings and do nothing to get rid of it.

Amazing video Julien. This really hit home for me at the moment. You Skype coached me several years ago but I was really deep in a place of self-hate at the time and struggled to apply what you were teaching. Recently I've been consistently breaking my comfort zone by taking action and in the process revealing/discovering more of my authentic self. There is still a lot of progress to be made but I am already feeling noticeably lighter and more grounded. Thank you so much for your help. I wish you all the best for the future.

@@PatchworkFarmettewell that's the most stupid insight I've ever read. If for example my gf is paranoid that Im cheating on her, then should I cheat? Hell no!! That's not a valid reason to cheat. There's a saying that if you truly love someone, you won't even think of cheating. You don't cheat on the ones you love. Well if your other half cheats on you, would you still think that he loves you? He loves you and the other one I guess.
@RedManeWritingandIllustrating11 ай бұрын
When I read all of this in my head it sounds like your lacking something in the inside to the point you start to self sabotage and think your not enough, apply the method of just enjoying yourself while your with that person if it happens it happens if it doesn’t it doesn’t, be okay with who you are, improve yourself with the goal of being authentic and a better version of yourself everyday and love unconditionally for your sake and not others, your love and authentic self isn’t for anyone else but yourself, who you attract and share that with will be determined by who you are as a person

I have been struggling with paranoia and jealousy with my current relationship. Its gotten worse over time. From no worries the first few months to things even I admit are crazy. Constantly questioning their intentions and paranoid behavior such as constantly checking her location, going through her phone ect. There was guilt and mistrust bc she cheated on her ex with me. He cheated on her first but I still felt guilt bc I was "that guy"and I wondered if she would ever do that to me, though I would never, ever cheat on her or give her a reason to cheat. She added a few guys on fb. No evidence of any foul play but I flipped out bc she didn't tell me about it and I took that as a red flag. I really needed to hear this talk. Thank you man

I got like this in about the 1 year mark with my current wife. I can't believe how paranoid I got and never thought I'd get like that because I was following RSD stuff and knew it was unattractive but love makes you do crazy things. It got so bad would even get paranoid to the point of watching her to see if she would look at other men because I thought she was attracted to them if she looked at them. Let me tell you, that is a horrible way to live life. You are constantly paranoid and in fear. It was truly destroying out relationship. I can confidently say I am so much better now and I don't do that shit anymore. My wife is so happy I am not like that anymore and so I am.

I also like the idea of sharing my whole life experiences with everyone as a mental challenge to break that wall and trust freely, but it has a really one big flaw. I have, and not only one, done really really horrible things in life noone knows, not even victims, if someone would know, noone will ever talk to me again, noone will look at me again, not even my own family. It was several years ago, I'm now a different person with completely different mindset, habits and more mature and I really regret of doing those terrible things, but I can't talk about them to anyone, it would ruin me, it would ruin also people who are close to me and break all of us. But on the other side, I'm worried that all of my paranoia and doubting and trist issues comes from keeping in the shadow this. If it was possoblento simply erase that memories, then all problems would be solved, because the only person it hurts is me, but if it was exposed, maybe I would be slightly more comfortable in trusting people, but exposing it will hurt more people then just me and the consenquences of it will most likely hurt also me on another level than just regret of the past.

What you did is done. The best u can do now is spare their happiness. Not confesing makes you feel terribly guilty, anxious and horrible. I get it. Trust me. As long as you NEVER EVER do that again. It's fine. Accept that old versión, you learned from it and when someone hurts you give them the same grace you secretly need. Who needs to approve of you is you. Period. Also when you change, God loves the new person you are. He says the old things come to pass and He won't remember them. Why should you? Focus on loving others and remember that everything works for good always.

So I guess the issue I have identified with this is how I relate it to my encounters. When I speak to women I like, I throw up a wall of shame when I think about what I have done as shameful. This is a block which prevents her from entering the space of my energy. So I need to be present either in my decisions as a man that I can err. I need to be gentle and kind with who I am and invite courage to let go of these things. (bless everyone)
