The Secret Garden commercial...Not only did it have Edward Scissorhands music playing during the ad, but the screenplay for the film was written by Caroline Thompson, who wrote that film, as well as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Homeward Bound, and the original Addams Family film from 91.

I love 90s nickelodeon but there was something more innocent about early 90s Nick. Even Nick Jr with Mr Wizard and David the Gnome or the Elephant Show. (Small Tear for that innocence we'll never get back)

Carnation Good Start- That baby smiling in the beginning of this commercial always puts a smile on my own face, even as a kid. Alvin And The Chipmunks 35th Birthday- You actually did post this commercial before, many volumes ago in 90s Commercials Category. I always thought that their high pitched renditions of various songs had a certain charm to them. Definitely better to listen to than the later renditions of songs done by "Kidz Bop", I think.

1993 was right around the time I started to heavily watch Nickelodeon; these bumpers hit me right in the feels and it's crazy how I haven't seen some of these since 1993, but it also feels like no time has passed.

These 90s nick commercials compilations are pure gold. The DZ Discovery Zone cm really hit it hard for me. I hope you can do more 90s nick commercials again soon.

That brought me back great memories! Used to watch "Hey Dude" and "Salute Your Shorts" back in the day! They don't make shows like they used to these days!

My heart almost hurts with bitter sweetness. I sometimes wish I could go back just for a day. My sons are adults but I was a stay at home mom and have no regrets. I cherished so many fun moments with them. ❤️❤️❤️

Like others already said, this brings back great memories of watching Nickelodeon for hours at a time in my early teens. I have to say while I didn't mind the Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoon, I'm grateful that nobody I knew ever had a CD of their music.

My childhood right here. Was a huge Nick fan til they went left. Nick used to be so so good...now it just some bland corporation. Thank you so much for preserving time and doing this for us. I sincerely appreciate you 80's CV ...

I remember these commercials vividly since I watched Nickelodeon heavy as a child growing up. Great set!!! On a side note the young actor in the Starburst commercial was Lamont Bentley (RIP) who played Hakeem on Moesha.

I wasn't watching Nick by this point, I was watching Fox Kids.I was more into Nick in the late 80s. Still, this is a great collection of commercials.

I almost forgot that the new remix of the Guts theme that would be used starting in Season 3 (1994) was already in place just days after Season 2 dropped. Still, this is a prime time capsule that features the greatest kids' network right at its peak. And we still had Legends of the Hidden Temple, All That, and Pete & Pete to come, as well as perhaps the best season Rugats (the 3rd) to drop. And I'm still glad for my visit at Nick studios in March 1994, even if I didn't get to see a show in production.
@pannoni84493 жыл бұрын
This must have been shortly after specific shows were added to the commercial bumpers, as in the earliest weeks/months of the 1993 bumpers (late spring/early summer), there were be just simple generic "we'll be right back" announcements.

Free Willy was iight, and as a child I was like "heck yeah" but as an adult I am thinking "how did that kid not get in trouble for doing that?" Also me: I only watched it once when it aired way back then so I don't remember if he did get in to trouble for it.
@80sCommercialVault2 жыл бұрын
The villains in the movie were planning to kill the whale for insurance money (make it look like an accident), so I kind of doubt that the kid would have been in trouble for freeing the whale once that fact came to light.
