Next to the Fox kids commercials breaks, the SNICK/Nickelodeon are also a huge favorite. So thanks for continuing to release those compilations in the new year.

Wild West COWBoys was one of many cartoons from the era inspired by the success of the Ninja Turtles, including Bucky O’Hare, Biker Mice from Mars and Street Sharks. Both Bucky and Biker Mice also got under appreciated games from Konami as well.

I hate to be "that" comic book guy, but Bucky O'Hare was created and first published concurrently with the Turtles. Their comic books both debuted in 1984, oddly enough, although Larry Hama conceptualized Bucky in the late 70s. However, getting the cartoon, video games, and toy line green lit in the 90s was *definitely* in response to the Turtle mania sweeping the nation at the time. Bucky also got a badass, 4-player, arcade beatem'up alá Turtles in Time. Beautiful looking game that also serves as an unofficial ending to the animated series, which got cancelled before the planned final story could be produced. So they used the arcade game to show the final victory over the Toad army.

@@Yo_DynamoJoe I'm aware of the Bucky comic, and how it started around the same time as the original TMNT comic. I was just saying I'm sure the syndicated cartoon from the early 90s probably came about due to the massive success of the TMNT cartoon. I'm sure when that hit big, some producers started scouring the world of independent comics for something similar, came across Bucky, and took a shot with it.

I don't remember Nick at Nite having a sendoff to Mr. Ed, nor did I remember it being on there until 1993! But in the late 80s, I did enjoy watching it. NICKISEVERYDAYYYYY

I had a friend who owned the Home Alone 2 video game for the SNES. Back then we were just happy to actually own and play any type game; but even we knew that it was pretty bad.

Yeah, I was around 9 years old at the time and I just knew that the game I'd brought home was not exactly Mario level quality within a few minutes of playing.

I still have my copy for SNES and it’s embarrassing to say this, but I got really good at the game and found all the stupid secrets in the hotel and in the abandoned house 😂

Peanut Butter M&M’s- I always thought it was a clever idea the boy in this commercial came up with , a spoonful of peanut butter coated with M&M’s as a snack. Personally, since I have a peanut allergy, I would use Marshmallow Fluff instead of peanut butter and coat it in the M&M’s. Honey Comb- Nice little nod to the older Honey Comb commercials at 10:28, showing the Honey Comb Hideout house and the Honey Comb robot.

I still have Snake-Eyes from the Gi Joe Hall of Fame collection packed away somewhere. I also wanted to get Cobra Commander but was never able to.

Homeward Bound a classic movie. The voice of Shadow, Don Ameche died the same year the movie came out.

It has taken a long time for movie licensed games to be good, even if most are still mediocre.

That Homeward Bound music sounds like they wanted to use the Back to the Future theme, but couldn’t afford it.

I'm not even sure what that's from, as I don't recognize it from "Homeward Bound"...so it's probably lifted from another movie. The actual score by Bruce Broughton is pretty memorable for a kids movie.

Like there's anything truly wrong with being weird or strange. Maybe it's wrong but often times it's not

My brother and I got that Ren and Stimpy game as a gift with our GameBoy. Man, that game was hard and obnoxious. It was one of the few things we got that Christmas, so we played the heck out of it, but I was never very good at it.

Knowing that Imagineering Inc helped make Home Alone 2 on all platforms. This game is jank then as it is today. And despite there having been no Garry & Dan Kitchen credit. It has that Kitchen brothers feel to it like Swamp Thing and the NES Simpsons games did. And Garry already worked on the first game on SNES. Good to see some Wideboy action for Ren & Stimpy on Gameboy. I played that game around January 1996. Took me a week to play and beat. Though the ending felt underwhelming despite the fact that it resembles closer to the comedy of the show. I was expecting more for my hard gameplay.

It's speculated that Home Alone 2 for NES used the Simpsons games as a basis for development, since they feel very similar in terms of game design/play mechanics and use many of the same sound effects. EDIT: the source code for the game was leaked a few years ago and revealed that indeed it was built on top of the Simpsons games.

I owned both Home Alone 2 for the Nes and Gameboy. The only I liked about the NES verison was the music. The Gameboy and Snes Version were better ports.

IMO, the Sega Genesis version of Home Alone 2 is better than any of the Nintendo versions. It came out in the 1993 holiday season, while its predecessor, based on the first movie, was released the previous year, when the second movie hit theaters.

The Genesis versions of the Home Alone games are generally considered better than the Nintendo versions...if not 100% faithful to the source material. Licensed games in general were a bit of a crapshoot back then to see which platforms got the better games, as often completely different developers were assigned.
