As someone who was 18 in 1993, I’d like to thank you for this authentic and thoughtful tutorial. You nailed the brows by not overfilling and it made my heart sing. We didn’t have a lot of the modern makeup products that are available now, but we did make ourselves up by making do with what we had. Very well done! 🙌🏻

I was 18 in 1990 - soooo the 90's was when I was really got into makeup... you nailed it!! The lip stick was SPOT ON - the icing on the cake!! This took me back!! I loved this video! (I love watching you anyway - the unicorn eyes were awesome!!) I am SO doing some 90's grunge makeup today! Thank you so so much!!! This was AWESOME!! However, in the 90's I did "bake" - it just wasn't called anything 'fancy' then, lol... I just put a crap ton of powder on my face pressing into my skin with the little pouf that came with it (coty airspun!!) and then brushed it off only calling it "setting my foundation" and making my face "really matte" lol !!! Thank you for this - made me remember all kinds of getting ready with my girlfriends getting ready to go out for the night!! And if I haven't said it enough, THANK YOU!!

You did a great job!!! I was a teenager starting in 1995 and I was allowed to wear makeup at 12. I wore mostly earthtones, browns because that was what was allowed to wear but by the end of the decade, when Glam Rock was popular again thanks to Marilyn Manson and the Glam revival, I wore silver glitter eyeshadow and glitter everywhere! lol You're right. We didn't call it baking back then but we definitely did it. I had severe acne and oily skin as a teen, so I was thankful most of our products were matte. We used those little triangular sponges to apply our foundation, which you can still do today and works super well. We didn't have primer but I can remember wishing we had something for oily eyelids back then! lol So, we would just powder the places we wanted to set. Powder was of course matte, right. Eyebrows were totally thinned out and over plucked! lol I prefer high arched eyebrows so luckily, I didn't have to do that. We had bronzer but I can remember it being a "summer" thing sold in stores so that women could balance out their tans. We totally knew about highlighting and contouring, but unless you bought a book on how to do makeup, you didn't do it. It was considered for makeup artists and theatrical makeup only. Heavy, thick stylized eyebrows popular today were "too 80s" so was out of fashion and cats eyes were also "dated and "old, too 60s to be cool" so it wasn't done unless you were Gwen Stefani! She was my fashion hero back then. I even wore a bindi like her way back when! Great video!

Loveee this! I actually prefer the 90s makeup/grunge inspired looks over super colorful looks (for day to day) and this did not disappoint!
