We’ve been running over budget consistently for about 3 months. My husband does most of the shopping, and I thought he must be getting something extra, or ignoring sales, etc. But when I did pick up orders I saw that prices were up across the board. And those small increases on each item add up FAST!!!! Thanks for filming during such a hectic month! Love to you!

It really does! Seriously! We have some changes coming for the way we are grocery shopping - so it will be interesting to see how it affects my budget.

@@FromHisBountifulBlessings Following up on your video the other day about people making rude comments…. I’ve been watching since before you had Caleb. He is precious, and it’s soooo obvious how devoted you are to him and all your children. Just wanted you to know that I think you do an amazing job. Home schooling, and managing TWO children having special diets? Thanks for sharing your life with us. I’m sure you had second thoughts about that when you read such a hurtful comment. ❤️

I had to limit my warehouse store shopping and start making a list. Sam’s and Costco will get you with their sales and new or specialty items making you go over budget. I have a love/hate relationship with them and have to be careful when shopping there lol
@FromHisBountifulBlessings2 жыл бұрын
I did SO BAD not making a list this month. So bad. 😵💫 But it’s just been so chaotic. I was thankful I didn’t go over worse than I did! It’s so convienent to get everything there - but I do need to be careful! 😜

Hey friend i just wanted to tell you that admire how patient you are with your babies. Im praying for you and Caleb especially. I saw your post instagram the other day. Im sorry that yall are still trying get a diagnosis. I know thats frustrating. I just want to give you a big hug. Groceries are such a pain. I hate it. I wish the prices would go back down.. Is Joshua walking? Ollie is not walking still but je grabbing onto stuff and standing up. I just want you to know that you arent alone. Love you and yojr family
@FromHisBountifulBlessings2 жыл бұрын
Thank you sweet one! I certainly don’t feel patient most days, and something I pray I grow better at! Wish I could give you a big hug too! Life’s so crazy. Joshie is walking - and has been since he was 11ish months! But my Caleb was a slow walker. He was 16 months. Grabbing on and standing is a GREAT step towards being confident walking! You aren’t alone either sweet friend! 🥰🥰

I realize you have a lot larger of a family than me, but something that helps us make our budget is to shop store brand only. I realize you have to make some exceptions (we only use Huggies over night diapers on our toddler). But with Sam’s club and Costco, look at the price per ounce that you spend for their name brand items compared to Walmarts or aldis store brand items. Sam’s is usually more expensive because most of the stuff that they car is name brand. Something else that might help is to eliminate paper towels and paper bowls. Again, I realize you have a large family but investing in using kitchen towels, cloth napkins, and plastic lids bowls would help with repurchasing paper products every month.
@FromHisBountifulBlessings2 жыл бұрын
Totally! I definitely price compare on things, and some things are worth the few extra cents to grab it in bulk to save me time! I buy off brand whenever possible unless it’s a major preference for us. Paper products are a gift to myself. 😂 I love to have them on hand because we regularly host 20+ people 2-3x a month and it helps me with cleanup. It also helps me not have to run my dishwasher 2-3x a day. It’s just a nice treat to my mental health. I use norwex cloths to clean - but paper towels are great for get togethers!

It's hard for me to go pass something that I want but NOT NEED. When my daughter is with me she keeps me in check. It's hard to give up the drinks that aren't really doing anything healthy for you but you like. Having more than one child they'd have to agree on two cereals hot or cold,panckes,bacon,pancakes,, you'll see your bill go down. Children also need to see their parent give up maybe a favorite thing. After alittle while they might forget about some small things and look forward to one big thing. (Nice vacation) yea!!!!
@FromHisBountifulBlessings2 жыл бұрын
We actually don’t do a-lot of special drinks! That pack of Gatorade lasts the whole month. They get it maybe 1-2 times a week. We mainly drink water and milk. For my husband and I, we prioritize being at home and spending time together, so we buy things we enjoy for being at home. We also enjoy good delicious food! It’s worth the money to us! I’m thankful to not be in the spot we were 10 years ago where we had a VERY strict budget.

If you just get regular ground beef, and spend a day making patties and freeze them, it will save you a ton of money instead of buying the patties....

These are fully cooked - and just a nice convenient lunch for me as I generally struggle with my own lunch. I know I could save money making my own. It’s just a personal preference!
