All of them became the star of the show, but let’s admit it, it was Shannen who made people watch the show when it started. She’s Not the prettiest sister but she has the most star power... then eventually people came to love Holly and Alyssa too. So when Shannen left the show, I’m not gonna say people had no choice but to love Holly, Alyssa or Rose, but you know, Shannen left so they need to stan their second favorite. I was 10 when Charmed came out and I fell in love with Shannen right away. When she left, It was so hard for me as a young boy to get over the fact that I will never see Prue again.

@@sydneyg8615 It's seems like it happened in 2016 when Shannen found out she had cancer. They both stopped following each other on social media at that time and then Shannen did an interview with Chelsea Handler where she said she lost friends because they couldn't deal with her cancer, even life long ones. So we were able infer that she meant Holly. Holly finally said something about it last year in a podcast; here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaCufKCMirCjqrs It's long but she talks about Shannen at 11:10. She doesn't go into specifics but it's the only time either of them have confirmed that they're no longer friends.

@@johngarson7010 she officially confirms it at 16:00 in that podcast. She explains that she’s still is proud of the friendship lasting so long and she says that they “got too close”. They don’t seem to be enemies though, at least not from Holly’s side, as she says to Rose on a insta live that Shannen as the best at directing. She also compliments Shannen during the podcast multiple times. However, I don’t know if Shannen respects Holly as much as as Holly respects her .

I love Shannen’s heart and ambition when she sets her mind to something it’s inspiring and growing up with her work from “ Charmed” to other numerous movies and shows I finally have more confidence now than I did a long time ago So I’m not surprised she has such great long term friendships When she takes a chance on you it’s cause she cares that much and believes in you and love how she took a chance on Holly It explains why that friendship has lasted for over 20 years now and am not surprised

I think people can’t deny that Alyssa with Who’s the Boss? And Melrose Place had star power as well. I remember when they announced the show with Shannen AND Alyssa, I was so excited. I ended up loving Holly more than those 2 but they are the ones that brought me to the show to begin with. Even though I like Rose, the show went downhill after season 3 because of the writers and the network. From Season 5 on, the network made the writers do thematic episodes that viewers could enjoy without knowing much of the story. And they couldn’t come up with this many new themes/ideas. Plus add the budget cut for the final 2 seasons and you have a receipt for disaster. Shannen was driven and wanted the best for the show. Even when you see her act in the raw footage she gives 110% on every scene EVEN when the camera isn’t on her whereas Holly and Alyssa just say their lines right and act their asses off only when the camera is on them. This is what actor say when someone is very GENEROUS, it’s an actor that is always acting 100% so you can give your best acting too. It so hard to act right when your partner (off camera) isn’t trying. But Shannen was always acting and giving life to the scene even if she wasn’t filmed. She brought so much to the show she wanted the show to be more dark and focused on witchcraft while she show became after she left less serious and more about relationships with men. Holly said the tone of the show shifted because Alyssa was good at comedy from the beginning and we saw Phoebe as the funny young one but Rose was funny too so it made the show lighter.

This is beautiful and I love Shannen's voice :) This also makes me think it's sad that back in the day Shannen's heart maybe got overlooked or taken for granted. I mean it's possible she could be rude or diva-ish at times but she might have also just been assertive and stuff like this shows how loyal and caring she could be :)

It’s interesting that the TPTB at the WB didn’t think that Holly was right for the role of Piper yet they were ok with Lori Rom?!?! Like what? I certainly would’ve placed Holly ahead of Lori. Piper was always my favorite character and that was in large part because of Holly.

The pre was and will be the best witch in the series with the best character. her and the player. The turn would never be the same after her departure. really, if it was up to us, I think people would choose the pre-Phoebe instead of being left out. The series changed completely and from the original dark theme full of Imagination and magic that the series had, it was consumed in its entirety in silly stories and in the love affairs of Phoebe. culminating in the miserable and unyielding Bill who completely destroyed the 8th and last cycle of the series. I think if Phoebe and Kern were fired now the series would be a real masterpiece. Imagine what it would be like to be in the role of Alice and another in the role of Alice and with the screenwriter and creator of this series to remain in the scepters of the script and direction until the end and not to leave because the second producer wanted to make a romantic comedy series written and targeted only for his whore Alice Milan and in fact to chase the lion in the 6th and 8th cycle and to mutate it into something else second and Very common, the series. they really deserved another try to get her back on track. I really can not see the 8th cycle irritates me so much Billy preferred to bring Atalanta rather than bring it back or even keep Leo. a story and a role No sense in having in the series.

At the time the WB were doing cutting edge things and were a big deal all thanks to the success of Buffy the vampire slayer, Aaron Spelling wanted to cash in on that fame and used witches instead of vampires. So thank you Buffy

@@hcent82 it's been reported Aaron spelling ripped the idea from The Craft ,yes, they used there "how soon is now" song for the charmed theme song! Rachel True who plays Rochelle in The Craft has even stated this an interview that charmed was completely copied from The Craft. What I mean't was that Aaron spelling a big time producer saw how quickly Buffy rose in fame and success, by the end of the first season even. with just 12 episodes, which means big big money! Aaron wanted to cash in on that. Buffy first aired in 1997 and Charmed first aired in 1998 ......hmmmm coincidence? I think not. Aaron would of thought to himself and others what supernatural show can we do besides vampires? What's next on the list? Witches! And what was the last tv/film about Witches to be successful? The Craft ! Which came out in theatres in 1996. The Charmed show runners had their worked handed to them , they just needed a good story! That's when Constance M Burge was hired.

Yes they are still friends. Just a little over a month ago Holly and Rose did an interview talking about possibility of a Charmed movie or Netflix series, Rose was talking about directing it and Holly started about Shannen saying Shannen would be the one directing. They are still friends, don't try to create bs saying otherwise. Alyssa, Holly and Shannen all said they would be in doing a Charmed reboot. Rose however is on an anti Hollywood, anti Alyssa kick.
