Kat did fine with what she was given (although I wish her accent would’ve been more like she did as Jenna in Waitress and not as nasally in Country Comfort.) Bad writing. And they hardly gave any time for the main characters to have any chemistry. Could have been much better.

I think she had bad management after Idol. Unfortunately she was doing music that didn't suit her for too long until Smash came along. I think her first husband was her first manager.

People need this in their lives right now since everything is all over the place right now. Kat you put a smile on people's faces for sure especially mine this morning. People like Lauren Daigle who won a grammy didn't even make the later rounds. Kane Brown, Tori Kelly, Amber Riley from glee and one of the singers from little big town never made the later rounds. Kat is really talented. She can act and dance too.
