Alright hear me out here- I’ve been a fan of iron and wine since I was 18 years old, back in 2006, introduced by a mix cd given from a friend. Had a few tracks from endless numbered days. I fell in love so deeply. I’ve heard almost every single song he’s written, including all his super old 8 track recordings (which in my opinion are pure gold). I have so many favorites. But this one- is possibly the most special. The emotions he pinpoints. I don’t know whether to cry or feel utter happiness bc there is a human expressing such depth of emotions as I frequently experience in this crazy journey of life on this beautiful planet. The lyrics, the beautiful chords and finger picking, his soft delivery of words. It is heart breakingly beautiful in the most intense way ever. I’ll always be open to hear this kind of heartbreaking beauty. Thank you Sam doesn’t do it justice. Bless you, Sir ❤

If it’s anything like a lot of his other songs he plays on the nylon, it’s just DADGAD tuned down a full step to CGCFGC. I’m not completely sure this is the tuning, but if it’s not I would be surprised
