I have a 1980 tracker tournament pro 17 boat, it seems to not have a place to rev the motor without putting the boatin gear . Any ideas.

that water pump impeller was next I'd bet

the water pump impeller has been replaced I have a line going to my dash from where the water exits the water pump hosing my pump pressure is at 12 pounds at an ideal and 32 pounds at 5 thousand rpm

might be your jets in the carb are plugged up somewhat disassemble the cars and check the jets to make sure they are clear..
