Fair snow down here in north cork alright! I’d say get the kuhn if price is right, very adaptable it seems with the intelliwrap & surely be a good bale from them. Mr cvx seems to after getting on well with his so it well able for Irish crops

I got nearly a half foot of snow on one side of the house and lucky 2-3 inches on the other side on my drive way. Spend several hours this evening shoveling and transporting snow away from the footpaths around the house and from the car to the road. Leaving much of the snow on the large driveway alone for now. Expecting a big freeze over the next few days, and i had no choice but shovel the snow for deliveries and going out. I need to make things safer for everyone.

The pair of boys will never go Continental/Big Beef finishing. The outlay scares them and the input required to put flesh on the carcass’ would raise their “self sustained” model to the floor. It’s grand tipping about with €5 calves and slaughtering 300kg Dairy/Beef @ 24 months. It’s another animal fattening a beef animal to slaughter @ 29 months and turning a profit! This is a grand channel for kids who like playing with machines, but in terms of viable farming that benefits the National Herd and the future of Irish Beef these boys ain’t it…
