91 Crown Victoria: The Back Rear Deck Lights In the Night.

This 1991 Ford Crown Victoria CHP car is for Sale. We are selling it from our small collection, as we no longer have room for this memorable piece of history. It has been in the American Graffiti Parades and all of the local car shows. This car gets more attention than my 70 Chevelles and 69 Camaros and is in allot of home picture albums. It was CHP car #8805, which has been retired. But all of the original equipment is there except for part of the radio (as they still use that radio today). The Shotgun & AR-15 are replica's also (real weapons are not allowed in car shows etc.) As you can see the equipment is all-functional as in the videos. The car is for sale and the asking price is $9500, this would make a great car for your automobile collection or just to take to car events and show it off.

As of this video, the Unity decklights are wired incorrectly; either the red or the amber (not both simultaneously) alternates with the blue. Introduced with the Federal Signal CC-1 switchbox, this lights characteristic was carried over to the General Electric S810 radio/ELS controller that would be correct for this car.

Now *THESE* were the cars I would have liked. The final generation box body Crown Vic LTD's (1988-1991). They are very hard to find now-- police package or civilian. This is a beautiful example of one well preserved... and even as I type, this was more than 10 years ago.

Incorrect rear light set-up. California does not use steady red to the rear.

Spot on. State law requires steady burn red forward facing only. Fun fact: Connecticut requires one front facing amber...very odd

Hey, I still have the car sitting in my whse. I am able to own it as with any other possesion. I do trailer it to events though as it is a California CHP car. But at car events I am able to drive it around and hit the siren and lights. Also Ripon, California puts on a big police car show that I attend each year and they let us drive it around town while we are there. You would have to check with your local authorities about what is legal in your state. Thanks for the inquiry. John Moore
