Unfortunately politicians and law makers have taken that decision away from police officers. @@tyleral5280 that's not really how it works. In most cases Police are called by victims, businesses etc... If they want to press charges for someone stealing a candy bar a police officer cannot tell them no. I have pulled money out of my own pocket to pay for little things that people steal as a necessity and businesses (ESPECIALLY WALMART) will still make you completely charge them if it's over $10.... These petty laws, petty businesses, petty people, petty police etc need to change. It costs nothing to have empathy.

Mr. Anonymous that argument falls apart when you realize the “privilege” afforded isn’t even a fraction to the problems caused by the system. No one is saying it’s ok to mistreat the “privileged” class, i was simply pointing out the man’s level of humility compared to his peers. If you want to argue about how corrupt capitalist elites are that’s one thing I can agree on, but to go as far as to say blacks are the real privileged class in this country is mind numbingly dense. You’d have to ignore nearly every race study in economics, policy, policing, judicial, generational wealth, etc. And gaslight your own minuscule problems to believe so.
