Whelen 8000..

My re-powered Whelen 8000. It's about 30 years old.. The original design came out in 1978. This bar spent 15 plus years on the top of a Lantzville Fire Engine.. Then stopped working during storage. It originally had a slow double flash pattern.
I used a Whelen Piercer 2 power pack and a couple strobe tubes from two Federal fireball 2 strobe beacons to get her working again yesterday. The cascade mirrors make for a full flash pattern from the front of the bar. Considering it's only a two strobe unit. This bar is part of my small collection and not for sale.

@tim9355. I enjoy it. I guess for you it depends on the pay scale and area you plan on working after you finish serving your country. I'm workin' a rural/tourist area... And lot's of elderly folk.

It was on the Ford conventional cab with the open "mother in law".. Not sure of the actual number.
