Thank you Joan! You did an amazing and outstanding presentation. The museum is fortunate to have you on board as a Docent. I, too, was inspired by the strength of the human spirit as I worked as a volunteer for the New York City Bar Association and Safe Horizons. I met wonderful, committed individuals, during Oct. 2001 to May of 2002, as we all worked together to help others. It was a defining moment in my lifetime. Much gratitude to you for sharing your story and giving us a personal glimpse of this tragic event which forever shaped American history.

You are an amazing story teller ! But more than that, I’ve never heard an account from this perspective -from across the Hudson, hearing the first jet, following it with your eyes right to the target and knowing instantly that this was no accident ! Amazing account ! God bless you and your husband ! God keep you safe always !

I loved your story. I came for a one day trip in April 2005. I saw the site, with huge tears and reflection. Two things that stuck out for me were, the tree that landed next to that beautiful church. The other was the WTC orb. It was at Battery Park, with an eternal flame. I hope to come back sometime to see the museum and memorials. I also hope to hear more stories. They really inspire me. I joined the museum on September 10, 2021 and plan to support it as long as I am able. Thank you so very much for your contributions since that day. Perhaps we will meet. Take care of yourself and that husband. You are truly blessed.

Wow, thank you for sharing your story. How terrifying it must have been not knowing where your husband was. I'm sure you were really thankful that you reached him before things got worse, otherwise he might have just tried to get to you, without knowing that you wanted him to get out and intended to meet up with him uptown / somewhere safe. I was 20 when this happened and I was living in Pittsburgh. Even though I felt reasonably safe there (though I DO remember hearing, live that they were tracking a jet over Pittsburgh and that's when I felt in personal danger!), this event has never lost its impact on me. Take care.

I hope no one takes offence to this question, but is/was lower Manhattan an expensive place to live? I’ve never been to NY, I’m from an east London borough in the UK, but I can’t imagine it being cheap to live that close to those amazing buildings.

Greetings from Canada. Tearing up listening to this. I'm thinking of the bombs crashing into apartment buildings in Gaza now and wondering if the Palestinian survivors can be as courageous as New Yorkers were after 9/11.

Gotta do a Facts Check Queens Ny is New York City Five borough town of NYC. From east of Queens is the State of NY down state county line called Nassau county Long Island NYS and further East of Nassau county last Down State county is called Suffolk County which are two downtown State Suburban counties in the Easts after New York City.

Hello from South Central Indiana. Thank you for sharing your 911 story with us, we truly appreciate it. I was 12 at the time of the attack but I've done alot of research regarding 911. Seven years of research actually. I was 12 taking the Istep test in middle school when it happened but it was to much for me when I was that little so I waited till I was about 24 to start researching. I've cried so many tears because of what I saw and what I learned. And in all honesty, I think the dust was pulverized steel, concrete, glass, humans, furniture, office material etc. Anyone can see with their own eyes that the towers were turned into dust before they even fell into their own footprints and to do this, you have to use more than just a airliner, think Directed Energy Weapons. The airliner fuel would of burned off within 45 minutes. I think they used this DEW weapon and I think the main beams were lined with explosives even before the planes hit because I've seen lots of footage and I was hearing many bombs go off before the planes hit and I think the main beams were wired days prior. The Hispanic man who maintained the towers said he saw people coming out of the basement with their skin blown off. His story proves there were bombs in the basement, then when you look at the aftermath, you can see that the main support beams were cut at 45° angles and I'm pretty sure planes cant do this only bombs can. I have the photos to prove it. Aluminum planes cant cut through steel either. People need to wake up, the truth is STANGER than fiction! I will never forget!

Yes I don’t believe the official story. Too many firefighters were saying that the bombs were going off. A woman named Susan landour (that may be spelled wrong) she was a liaison for either the fbi or cia and she was warned to stay out of New York during that time. She was actually jailed for trying to talk about what she knew

There was a talk on KZbin by a woman. She talked about DEW's, showed videos of the towers coming down (in slow motion) and you can see the buildings disintegrating/pulverized floor by floor just before each floor. Tesla's niece had his papers/records, and it looks like she was killed with a DEW, which (I believe) Telsa created.

The first plane flew low enough over her work building for her to see the stripes. Hearing the plane engines roaring overhead, she looked out the window from Washington Blvd, facing across the Hudson River to Lower Manhattan. And watched the first impact on the North Tower.
