The body language from the son, rocking back and forth speaks volumes. And the Dad bought this kid an AR15 for Christmas 2023…after he knew what was going on. Justice that the Dad is charged too.

Colt had major emotional issues that should have been obvious to police AND to Dad. Self-soothing rocking … so many symptoms crying out for help. So glad Dad has been arrested as well. So glad that Mom attempted to try to warn the school. Very insightful reading, as always, Ashley. Thank you for being you and sharing your gifts and talents.

Why didn’t school act after mom called?
@Humbleharper5 күн бұрын
@@dorothywozniak3261 Per reports, Cole was very new to the school and there were two students with very similar names. I’m not excusing the school for not taking all appropriate measures, because I don’t know what measures were taken, but coming from a huge school district’s legal department, I can tell you that mistakes get made. Educators are human too, and we don’t know who the Mom made the report to. From what I’ve heard, the names got mixed up and the school checked out the wrong student first. This type of situation can be very hectic and we don’t know how rationale Mom was or who she spoke to.

I’m genuinely curious, do red states not take mental health or neurodivergent behavior seriously? I only ask as someone living in a very blue state where we have access to resources and have strict gun laws. I don’t worry about school shooting but I’m wondering if in pro gun states you take the lack of healthcare, high paying jobs, and resources, is there a differ t outcome?

I DO NOT agree with buying a child a gun much less an AR . That's insane to me! Your brain isn't even fully developed when your 18! The father did wrong in Alot of ways. That child needed serious help starting along time ago .

The dad’s brain or mental/emotional health is clearly also lacking here. The parents were lost and so is the child, it seems. Tragic in every way and I wish this would stop.

I love your readings Ashley. You are so good at what you do. I want to know how he got the gun in the school if he took a bus. I am so disappointed that the FBI didn’t look at the isp??? I forgot the letters but to link the info to his computer. They also didn’t go into the house to see where the guns are and if they are locked up or not. This is very, very sad. I totally agree with you Ashley. The father wasn’t surprised at all. 💙

Ashley I'm always so happy to see you have posted a video. And no, I'm not one of those who wondered why you weren't posting as often as usual, I just enjoy your videos whenever one pops up on my youtube. I've just started watching, but I have to say though, I'm surprised the police let the father go on and on and on about being evicted. Who needed that backstory?

@@ScorpioSun213 I’m not sure what you think the officer’s job was that he didn’t do? The school could have applied their code of conduct if an investigation produced enough evidence to make administrators believe he was guilty. We don’t know if that took place. The father failed to take the situation seriously The officer did his job. The parent did not.

background. family was doing ok owned a farm.. then dad got hurt at work and was put on opiates and didn't work for quite awhile. dr stopped prescribing meds, so Dad would use street drugs and got wife to help and in process mom also became an addict. was awful for cole and kids. mom would lock him and his sibblings out all night kids be crying etc.. neighbors said. child services involved. alot of domestic abuse. Dad was abusive as well. then Colt's mom threatened to unalive his dad and Colt.. hence why mom is not allowed to be around her Colt's dad etc.... Colt had a complete terrible child hood. He's been crying for help with mental health etc.. but his parents didn't get him help. His grandparents have tried to help. And counsellor just didn't really care. :( DCS was involved and numerous dv calls etc.. :( drugs so bad.

Huh. So maybe the problem with guns is Healthcare, resources, support and help/assistance whether it’s for food, shelter or mental health? Instead of metal detectors maybe we should look to the root of the problem

@@kitcatkit6240 I am a mental health therapist that works with suicidal and sometimes homicidal people. It's true that mental health and emotional problems are at the root of most mass murders. That being said if I ever have a client who is at risk for any violence therapists always demand that all guns are out of the clients access. Just because they're seeing a therapist doesn't mean that a powerful urge to act on their illness won't occur, and if they are within reach of a weapon.....

It's strange how this interview took place in March, I think you said. And then the school shooting is in September. Almost 6 months later, he held on to this plan for that long. Sometimes kids don't hold on to things for that long. I know I have free kids, so I wonder really how his mental state was, how he kept holding on to this for so long to make this plan come to fruition. After reading some of the comments in here about his family life and what his parents were doing to him and his siblings, it makes a lot of sense. I'm not condoning it at all but it makes sense on where his brain was and it's very very sad and very very horrible that other people had to go through this because he couldn't get the help he needed from his parents or the school system or the medical system. I just looked at the video again and it says five so that's May but still to hold it over the summer. I guess if you're very distraught and thinking of something 24/7 then I guess you do go through with the plan that you've been holding on to for a really long time, but still no teenager. Should have to go through that and no family should have to go through being killed because he couldn't get the help or the love that he needed.

I raised my children to know that guns are a tool like a hammer or a pair of scissors Not to be used as they wish but as needed in a hunting situation… never as a weapon to threaten or just kill something or someone just because you’re able
