I bought a m90 for my 2.7 tiburon. I love the way yours sounds and I hope mine is like that when I'm done. I got a few extra intake manifolds to modify to get it on my car. I got lucky and a guy had a tib the same year as mine the was rusted out junk, but had a ton of brand new mods. It was a project he gave up on, but I got a killer deal on it. I'm currently migrating the parts over to my car. The car came with brand new exhaust, headers, coil overs, an m90, extra motor and trans, bigger throttle body, bad ass fuel pump, Calipers and rotors, AEM FIC piggy back, and all sorts of other goodies. It was too good to pass up.

Looks awesome man! I have a e36 323i project car that’s coming along. Planning on supercharging it or giving it some type of boost.

I'm glad you liked it. Spent many hours sorting out how to drive the supercharger and make everything fit. Since then I have upgraded to the Eaton m122 h. You can check it out at Hydemotorworks.com

You can see the hose inflate when you flip the throttle.... maximum airflow 👍

If built correctly with a good sized diverter valve between the intake and outlet side of the supercharger, it wouldn't be collapsed to begin with

Yeah the hose collapseing is not a good thing it means the engine is getting started of air at idle. That's no good.

@@swandonovan actually it still would. The throttle body is on the intake of the supercharger. At idle and low engine load the supercharger and entire charge pipe an intercooler are in a vacuum, below atmospheric pressure. The right way to solve this is to use metal charge pipes only. Only silicone couplers to connect to charge pipes.

Artur Wroniecki on positive displacement superchargers it's usually best to run the throttle plate on the intake of the supercharger. so during deceleration and idle the supercharger intercooler and all of the tubing is under vacuum.

Artur Wroniecki and this was a prototype setup. typically you would use mostly metal with very short pieces of silicon coupling to connect the pipes or weld.. the 90-degree tube was functional but not ideal.

Very nice setup by the way. How much power and pressure does it make? I see You are using Fuel Pressure Regulator so I guess it runs without external ECU like megasquirt etc. What about Fuel Management Unit instead? It runs on stock injectors? Other modifications?

Artur Wroniecki thanks. it was never dynoed so I don't know the output. it hit 8 pounds of boost at 2300 and peeked out at 9 lbs at 6000 RPMs up to the 7400 rev limiter. I used 24 lb injectors 1 - 1 boost referenced fuel pressure regulator. And a FIC6. Custom chip with stock map and rev limiter increased and speed limiter removed. piggyback

Would this supercharger setup be able to work on a s50/s52 engine?

This was a very early prototype. We have revised and modified the complete assembly so that it will fit the M & S 50 , 52, and 54 engines. The s54 engine being the most complicated because of the ITB. Checkout, HydeMotorWorks.com

How much horses and torque did you squeeze out of it ???????

Once I got most of the tuning straightened out, it made 303 horse, 290 foot pounds of torque. This was on a bone-stock M50 B25 t u, with 240000 miles.

I was wondering the same thing I have a 2002 bmw 325 xi and I have an m90 supercharger and I was wondering if there was a kit to get to to fit on there

@@davidmyers727 yes that was fixed shortly after the video. By using 90° aluminum tubing. Shortly after that I got rid of most of joining couplers by TIG welding the charge pipes together. You have to remember that the throttle body is on the intake of the supercharger. So at low engine load, idle, the supercharger, charge pipes, intercooler is in a vacuum. ( below atmospheric pressure)

No it is a Eaton M90, roots-type supercharger

Will eaton m90 produce 400hp ?

That all depends on your build. The M90 I use was from a Thunderbird SC. It was good for 9 lb of boost. You can get more if you install a set of coated rotors. But even though 9 pounds of boost does not seem like much, it starts at a very low RPMs. You'll be at 9 pounds of boost by 2500 rpm.

@@slobodanjaksic1659 I can just post it here. At the time I was using a completely stock unopened m50b25tu. 42lb injectors. Boost reference fuel pressure regulator Ostrich 2 emulator. Tunerpro software. 7% overdrive pulley. Drove the supercharger off of another pulley mounted on front of the power steering pulley. EBay headers. Air-to-air intercooler. 303 horsepower at the wheels.
